Do you meet with a detective or go back to your dorm?
Detective Anderson
The previously hyphenated name makes you think Detective Reynolds is a woman, and that she probably wouldn't be too receptive of your story.
"I want to file still. I guess I'll go with Detective Anderson." You say.
The clerk nods, "Best of luck. He'll meet you in room 13A to your left. Next!" Despite the ominous wording, you turn and there is a small line behind you. You trudge off to room 13A and enter. Inside you see a small table with a chair on each side. You select one and sit down.
Your phone tells you it's been about ten minutes and you're about to give up and leave, when an older stout man walks in. Slightly overweight, he's dressed in an old worn out grey suit. He sits down opposite of you with a grunt.
"Sorry I'm late kid. Move in weekends are busy. What is it that you are reporting?"
You gulp. the tone of the clerk's voice still upsets you, but you're in too far now. You tell the detective everything that happened to you since you arrived at campus. You spared some of the more graphic details but were otherwise very thorough, The detective seemed to be the opposite of thorough and only took a few notes very early on.
You finally stop and feel a weight lifted off of your shoulders. Hopefully justice would finally be done.
Detective Anderson sighs. "Look kid..."
Does Detective Anderson believe you?
