Deja Vu

Two monstrous creatures stood in front of me. Adachi and Miksuo looked stunned at what stood in front of them.

Their tongues fell out of their mouths, suddenly floating to us three as though we were meals.

"What in god's name is that," asked Mitsuo? Suddenly I didn't feel so good. My stomach felt like it was turning.

Adachi looked at me.

"Should we run," he asked, "come on leader, do something." I couldn't, suddenly I really had to use the bathroom.

I was crouched over trying to keep from keeling over as the monsters closed in on us. My two loyal subjects cowering behind me.

"Their going to eat us," screamed Adachi. They opened their jaws to swallow me whole, and then I acted.

I pulled a pistol from my pocket, and pointed it towards myself.

PERSONA

A beauty emerged from the heavens, and quickly pinned down one of the enemy shadows.

I jumped on the other shadow quickly, pummeling it repeatedly with a Knife stick I hid on me.

Hit after hit the shadow twitched under my strikes. I did it again and again, even after the shadows burst into dust.

Adachi and Mitsuo looked stunned, but I knew too much about persona's and shadows.

Just a few months ago I was traveling the hundreds of floors of Tartarus. But I did my best to repress those memories.

I explained to Adachi and Mitsuo that shadows were manifestations of our own creation.

That whatever world we were now in, was dangerous. I would have to do it all myself, I had a little collection of personas.

"Ahh hmmm," Angel cleared her throat. Staring me down. I had a bit of explaining to do.

"Angel," I said, "baby, how long has it been?" She looked really pissed.

"Months," said Angel, "I should have never slept with you." Which time was she referring to?

"I've been locked out of the velvet room," I said, "I couldn't speak to you if I wanted." She looked like she was going to kill me. "And I did want to speak to you."
