Decline their help and keep moving

Caught in a compromising situation, Zoe knew she had to act fast. Following the young men down the alleyway seemed too risky. She glanced around, looking for another escape route. The alley was narrow, but she noticed a small side passage leading away from the main street. It was dark and uninviting, but it might be her best chance to avoid the young men's attention. She breathed in and made a decision.

She slipped away from the alleyway and darted into the side passage, keeping to the shadows. The rough pavement scraped against the feet of the body she inhabited, but she pressed on, determined to find safety. The passage twisted and turned, leading her deeper into the maze of alleyways.

As she rounded a corner, she found herself in a small, secluded courtyard. It was quiet. The only sound was the distant hum of traffic. She paused to let the body catch its breath, leaning against a wall. The body she inhabited was exhausted, but she couldn't stop now. She needed to find shelter and make a plan.

However, as she looked around, she realized there was no way out of the courtyard. High walls surrounded it on all sides, with no doors in sight. Panic set in as she realized she was trapped.

She heard footsteps approaching from the passage she had just come through. The young men must have followed her. She had nowhere to go and no way to hide. The heart of the body she inhabited raced as she considered the options.
