Day 5 - on a boat

Claire stretches lazily across the tangled sheets, as if giving the middle finger to the morning. She reaches over to the nightstand and picks up her smartphone, which has been switched off since Day 3. She holds down the power button, watching the screen light up.

"Alright, let's see how much Tom is suffering,"

The phone immediately erupts into a frantic sequence of buzzing notifications, dozens of text messages cascading down her screen. She scrolls through them, smirking as she does

But as she reads through them, her smirk turns into a slight puzzle. "That's weird," she murmurs. "He's going crazy, but he didn't mention yesterday at all. He’s just... begging for an update but completely skipping over yesterday’s silence."

You sit at the edge of the bed, sipping your morning coffee, keeping your expression perfectly neutral. "Maybe he was just too overwhelmed to ask," you reply casually, setting the mug down. "What are you going to tell him today?"

"Nothing yet," she says. "Today is our catamaran tour. I want to save the report until we're out on the water. Help me choose a dress, Mr. Madison."

"Naked?"

"Why stay in a lockup when here's comfier?"

"True."
