And even though of my very noticeable changes in not only height but size in general, no one batted an eye at me. As if I was invisible, they just walked right past me towards the door, a loudly chatting and laughing mass I was somehow excluded from. It all felt surreal.

I looked down onto Mrs Scott’s red message on my white sheet and made my decision. Due to my new size, I had to kind of jump on my hard wooden chair, but finally managed to sit down and watch the last trickle of students leave towards the door after some after-class questions for Mrs Scott.

Once they left her eyes rested on me, giving me a calculating look. Mrs Scott gave off an air of authority, which was only magnified by my now physical inferiority. I felt myself shrink and crumble under her attention.

I wanted to say something, but the click-clack of her heels broke the spell before me, as she strutted towards the classroom door to close it, making sure we were undisturbed for whatever she had planned.
