Dares in the Hat (different relationships)

Even though the clock is far past midnight, you are in no way finished with the evening. The **** still tastes good, you're having a deep conversation with your friend Matt, and the hottest girl in the world - Miranda - is still here having a good time talking to Nicole. You wonder if you can find a way over to her later now that you have drunk a little more courage, when Sarah announces her plan for a game. Everyone looks up at her standing in the middle of the living room, and Tom who stands behind her with a tophat in his hands. She explains she's been wanting to play a game of "Dares in the Hat" for a long time, and now that it's just the six of us she wants to try it out with us. You noticed her smirking conspiratorially with Tom for a while during the party, and you guess they've been waiting for the right time.

'Since it's such a small group, it'll be more fun,' she tells us. 'And maybe we can you know... be a bit more daring.'

'Isn't this a bit... I dunno... high school?' Nicole says with a slight frown.

'I think it will be fun!' Miranda cheers slightly drunkenly.

You quickly follow her example, wanting to impress her, and shout 'Me too!' She gives you a smile in return, and your heart gives a strange flutter.

Sarah looks at her boyfriend Matt, who looks a little uncertain. 'You wanted to try this too, right, babe? Like we talked about?'

He hesitates a little before answering 'Yeah.'

'Great, well I know Tom is into it,' Sarah smiles, pointing at the sturdy soldier-in-training, and then turns to Nicole. 'Wanna try at least? If you don't like it we can stop.'

'I won't be a party pooper,' Nicole sighs. 'How does this work, anyway?'

'We start by putting our names in. Then we start pulling them one by one and giving each other dares. Anything goes.'

'Anything?' Nicole and Matt ask in unison.

'Yeah, unless there's something you want to ban right now?'

It's silent, except for the music playing. You think about it. You hope this game helps you get closer to Miranda and maybe see a little skin, but you wonder how far everyone really wants to go. Everyone seems to be just as nervous about what's going to happen except for Tom and Sarah who seem excited to get into this.

'No? Alright. Let's get started then!'
