Curious, I grabbed the rock out of my pocket.

Curious, I reached into the pocket the rock was in and much to my surprise, when my fingertips grazed the surface of the stone I realized it was no longer just warm, it was HOT, and touching it sent a chill down my spine, and I dropped the stone out of shock and fear. Unfortunately, being in the middle of a hallway, the rock collided with the floor, making a loud "CLACK!" I quickly looked around to see if the noise attracted any attention.
