Himiko

I turned around and almost bumped into Himiko, who I was practically eye to eye with.

"Jesus!" I yelled. "Where did you come from?"

"From math classroom," said Himiko. "I told teacher I have bad stomach, I need to see nurse." She looked up and down at me. "Why are you short?"

"I... I don't know! I've felt weird all day, and my clothes are really loose, and... oh my god, I think I've gotten shorter since we started talking!"

Himiko grabbed my hand and started dragging me down the hall. "You should go to nurse, too."

I let myself be pulled along and looked down at my shrinking body. I was in shock. I was still holding the rock. Could it be causing me to shrink? Should I get rid of it?

Our school has several buildings that we have to walk between, so I didn't notice when Himiko pulled me outside, and I was too upset to think about where we were going. However, I did notice when we got to the student parking lot and she started unlocking the trunk of a car.

"Wait, why are we out here? I thought you were taking me to the nurse?"

"This is not natural. Nurse can't help you. She would take you to doctor, and doctor would cut you up. You have to hide."

"Wait, hide from wh- oof!"

Himiko shoved me backwards towards the trunk. I slipped in my shoes that were now much, much too big for my feet, and I fell in. Himiko slammed the trunk down on top of me.

"I have seen this before," said the exchange student. "You hide. I will be back later."
