Stacey carried the box into the kitchette, setting it on the table and waiting until Jenny had come up beside her to gently lift the lid up.

Inside was a nice blue velvet lining, a smooth, blue gemstone that could comfortably fit in either girl's palm, and a strange square pyramid, cast in a burnished metal.

Jenny's eyebrow went up. "Okay... weird. What's this all about?"

She reached out a hand and brushed the gem with her fingers, only to snatch them back as it started to glow.

A refined woman's voice echoed out from the gem, ethereal and echoing. "You who have discovered this box and it's contents, you and I are of a like mind. I leave you this memento so you may indulge your desires and more. When you are ready, seek out the Demon Queen..."

The voice faded away, leaving the girls to process this.

Jenny broke the silence with a scoff. "Well, that was fuckin' weird. You got any idea what that was about Stace?"

She turned to her roommate, only to find her gaze was locked on the pyramid and a blush was spreading across her face.

"Uh, Stace?"

Stacey shook her head a little and managed to make eye contact. "Uh, yeah?"

"You okay? You're lookin' a bit..."

Stacey laughed, high and nervous. "Oh, uh, it's nothing, I just, uh, think I know what this is... You, uh, remember that Scooby-Doo movie?"

Jenny nodded, slowly. "The one with the demons that possess people?"

"Y-Yeah."

Jenny considered this and it's likely implications. "Okay. I'm in."

Stacey blinked. "I - huh?"

"I said, I'm in." Jenny said plainly. "Someone's gotta stop you from going too far with this stuff, and it'll be good for a laugh if nothing else."

Stacey gave a shy smile. "Thanks, Jen."
