Counter Measures

"First of all, guardians, raise the level of alert by one across all floor. We are in unknown territory, so be on guard. If any intruders are found, capture them alive. Until we get a better grasp on the situation, let's avoid making unnecessary ennemies."

This is a hard request to fulfill. If there is an intruder, it should be in the fourth floor or the eigth, and even if the former shouldn't pose any issue, any intruder entering the latter floor is destined to a cruel and pointless ****. At best.

"Now, i would like to know more about the management system in place in our guild. Albedo, how does guardian communicate between each other to protect the levels ?"

"Every guardian, bare for Falthène given the importance of the floor he is guarding, has complete autonomy to administrate it the way they desire. We however have a comunication systeme managed by Demiurge if need be."

The floor under Falthène's guard was the royal throne, this was the only reason he couldn't order anyone in it around the way the other guardian did, because there wasn't that many npcs alloweds in it to begin with. However, he was the one allowed to decide who could or not enter the ninth and more importantly, tenth floor. So in a way, he could use his autorithy over figures like the pleiades and Sebas. There was however no need to do so outside of the boundaries of his library.

"This is good news. Demiurge, who manages the defense of Nazarick, and Albedo, regeant of the guardians. Your mission will be to bring this system to perfection."

"As you wish. Must we assume it will omit the level eigth, nine and ten ?"

The fairy frowned. She was talking about his level without consulting him one bit, how disrespectfull.

"Victim being the guardian of the eigth floor, it should be fine. No, i'm correcting my previous order : do not go to the eigth floor. Falthène will manage it's inspection. Other than him, nobody is allowed to enter it without my permission. Remove the seal between the seventh and ninth floor so we can skip it entirely. Speaking of. Falthène, dispatch sentinels in the ninth and tenth level."

"It will be don-"

"Is it reasonable ?" A twitch in his wings, then a stare directed at the regeant. He felt the stupor taking over Demiurge at this interjection, no need to ask him what he thinks of that. "Should we authorise simple sevants to step in the domain of the supreme beings ? Is, is the situation this dire ?"

"Albedo." Calmly started the fairy, while his monarch was deep in thought. "Is this a question you are in your right to ask while i'm here ?"

"What do you mean by that." Annoyance, subtly hidden, but that couldn't be to the hear of the drowned and the demon.

"The tenth level is under my care, to some extent, one could say the ninth is under yours that much is true. But allowing mere servants as you say the blessing to enter them is one of my responsabilities. Moreover, under the gaze of our monarch we all are servants unfit to breath the same air as him. Are you suggesting he cannot judge a?"

Her glare was sharp, cold, a stare that did not belong on such an angelic face, but she closed her eyes. "I apologize, Falthène. It seems i crossed your boundaries. You are right, the words of our lord are laws."

"As long as you understand."

"It seems i do not need to intervene anymore. So let's continue." His eyes now were directed at the elves. "Aura, Mare... Can you dissimulate the Great Tomb of Nazarick ? The illusions i can use will cost too much mana to maintain, and the ones Falthène can create cannot alter Nazarick as a whole."

"It... Will be complicated with magic... However if we cover the walls with dirt... and grow some plants..."

It was time for Albedo's wing to twich. Several time as her face stayed neutral. Thoses with tails and wings knew the battle going on inside her mind, she must be outraged by this suggestion, but still reeling from Falthène previous correction and keeping herself shut. Good, for her.

"But seeing a hill in the middle of a meadow like that... Did you spot any during your scouting Sebas ?"

"None sir. But i can't completely rule it out because of the time. I might have missed some."

"I see... What if we created them artificially ?"

"That way, Nazarick wouldn't be easily spotted."

"Good. Then it's decided. Aura, Mare, if you need anything, i authorize you to get them in the levels. As for the parts that cannot be hidden, Falthène will cast illusions on them, but do not use the book of reality. This teleportation may have unforseen consequences with the effects of world items."

"Very well my lord."

"I-Ill do my best !"

The skeleton nodded. A quick glance at all the guardians here kneeling, it seemed this meeting was almost over.

"Now finally, a last question to all of you..."
