Cotton's Productive Day

(Cotton’s POV)

I awaken again refreshed and ready to begin a new day. My morning routine remains unchanged except that I take a bit more time putting on my makeup as I admire the subtle changes to my face. I’ve also confirmed that my tits are in fact slightly bigger, and the top of the mirror looks just a tiny bit lower than it used to.
I’m disappointed to see that I don’t get the quest completion reward for my bathrobe again today, maybe it was a once per outfit kind of thing. No matter, between the beauty and regal perks I had noticed it was much easier to get the respect I deserve when out shopping yesterday. It had been all too easy to tease the boys working there into giving me a discount. Not that I needed it, but the thrill of getting them all hot and bothered into doing what I wanted was too much to pass up.
At first, playing this Life Quest game had seemed rather silly and a waste of my time, but seeing the rewards in action was too much. Biting my lower lip in admiration at how good I looked with these changes I finished my makeup and got dressed for the day.

Ok, I officially loved that quest, it seemed it was triggered each day by a new outfit. The bonus xp was also new to see, the Wealthy perk must consider xp a source of Wealth.
I wondered if this mysterious Questmaster was someone I knew or an AI of some kind. Who or whatever it was, they knew how to please a girl.

Two rewards this time, and a timely prompt to remind me that I hadn’t bothered to send my girlfriends an invite just yet. I quickly send off a group text to 4 of them before donning a pair of glossy pink heels and matching pink jacket to go to the library.
I know just who is going to be invitee number 5.

It doesn’t take long for my driver to drop me off, I stride in and look around for my target, finding him sitting at a desk playing with his phone. He must have been deeply engrossed in it as when I walk over to him and let out a little cough he jumps and almost drops it.

“Hey…”, I glance at his nametag, “John, any plans for this Friday?”

“Uh-hi Cotton, I didn’t have anything planned no” a really poor lie, but it’s cute to watch him try.

“Well, I’m having a totally hot costume party here at the library and would love it if you came”

“Oh well now that you mention it, your Dad mentioned something about me helping run the party that night so I don’t think I can.”

“Don’t you worry about that, I’ll handle my little old daddy ok?” I smile as he’s not going to really say no to me, “I expect you to be there in costume and to have a good time.” He lets out a sigh and I know I’ve won.

“Su-sure thing, anything else I can help you with today?”

“Actually, there is. You seem like the kind of guy who plays a lot of video games”

“I suppose I play sometimes yeah”

“I’ve found a really great one called Life Quest, you should give it a try. I think you’ll find it lifechanging”.

“Can’t say I’ve heard of it, but I’ll keep an eye out, thanks Cotton”. I almost have to laugh at how much he’s struggling to keep it together in front of me. Getting an idea, I decide to check something.

“Hey while I’m here, can you grab me a coffee, thanks hun”. He gets up and I watch him awkwardly turn and waddle away to keep me from seeing his obvious erection. While I’m waiting for him to return, I get another notification

Didn’t seem like much of an advanced quest but I wasn’t about to complain.

(John’s POV)

I was relieved to have an excuse to get away from Cotton even if only briefly. The impacts of the Beauty perk on her were both big and subtle. She had been pretty the first time I had seen her, but with many of the small imperfections gone she was firmly moving into the hot zone.
Trying really hard to focus on anything other than how nice her breasts were looking in that too tight tank top as I pressed the buttons on the coffee machine and waited for it to finish.
I couldn’t risk her staying around too long as I didn’t want to risk developing any further feelings for her and I didn't want to make her unhappy waiting too long for coffee.
Putting a quick quest in to send her away, I grabbed her coffee and headed back out to give it to her.

(Cotton’s POV)

The Questmaster sent you the quest: “Eat a healthy lunch”

• Be fully nourished for the rest of the day.

This quest was a little unusual, the others I could see more clearly how they aligned to being a princess with outfits and parties, but maybe this was prompted by my less than healthy breakfast today. I put a hand on my stomach and while I don’t feel bloated or puffy, a perk to help me keep my slim figure wouldn’t go astray.
It also felt like this app wanted me to hit a high level quickly. I’ve had some ex-boyfriends complain about mobile games with ‘microtransactions’ that apparently cost a lot if you want to keep progressing past the initial levels that go quickly. Maybe it’s trying to get me to level 10 and will start asking me to pay to continue? I put my phone back in my bag as John returned with my coffee. I made sure to lean forward as I took it to give him a peek down my tight top.

“It’s rude to stare” I tell him with a wink

“I wasn’t… I was just… sorry Cotton”, the poor guy was getting more and more hopelessly wrapped around my finger.

“Let me know if you can find out anything about that app, I’m too busy with classes and would appreciate some levelling up advice”

Leaving John to hopefully spend the rest of his workday thinking about me, I left to go and find a healthy lunch. It wasn’t quite noon yet, but I couldn’t wait.
Thankfully the university cafeteria was only a short walk away and I pick out a simple green salad to eat.

Checking my watch, I see I have some time until my first class begins so I decide to scroll through the perk list. I wanted to get as many as I could before the party, with the theme of the quests so far having seemed to be focused on looking good and hosting parties I was hoping that at higher levels they might start to shift into real Princess stuff. The idea of being royalty sent a slight shiver down my spine and I felt myself getting a bit wet at the thought. Pushing that aside, I narrow down my perk selection to the following:

- Beauty II (3 points)
- Aura II (3 points)
- Regal II (2 points)
- Wealthy II (3 points)
- Power I (2 points)

Beauty II felt like a natural choice, but I’d learnt long ago that men like attractive women, but they love powerful women. Power I was therefore a tempting choice and hopefully the Strength I perk I had seen meant it wouldn’t give me bulky muscles or anything as I wasn’t interested in that. I also enjoyed the accelerated gains that Wealth perk had been giving me.

New perk purchased Wealthy II: +40% passive increase to all wealth sources for you and your family.
New perk purchased Power I: Acquiring influence is 10% easier and your family tree has been upgraded.

At first read Power seemed like a bit of a rip-off, only 10% easier! What did it even mean that my family tree had been upgraded anyway? Annoyed, I go to put my phone back in my purse only to see that it’s no longer a mid-high-end bag, but a custom made $50k handbag. Pulling my phone back out I open SnapGram and find my photos show me hanging out at various parties with powerful people. There’s multiple of me at an old estate that has what I figure is my family’s coat of arms.

Curiosity piqued, I search the internet to find out more and confirm that while my dad is still my dad and the owner of the library here at the university, he now also has several buildings named after him. Under parents, his information now lists his father as a duke of England.

Another quest comes through, this one was definitely unusual and not at all what I was expecting. I had been assuming princess meant just royalty but I suppose it wants me to be a bit of a bratty princess. I’m only too happy to oblige.

As my final class for the day ends I wait patiently in my seat to spring my trap. I’d spotted that jerk Brad waiting outside, he must be waiting for one of the girls in the class. He definitely fit the lower class bill as he was often hanging around hitting on girls much younger than him. Just the thought of that creep upset me as he had tried to make a move on me once, using his size to try to impress me. Unfortunately I'd have to interact with him again as this is a small fashion elective I'm taking and there are no boys in the class. Most of the girls her I wouldn't put in the 'lower class' category except perhaps that one short blonde who's name I forget. She seems nice enough and I have nothing against her, but she is a little bit ditzy. I’ve heard she spends a lot of time studying at the library without much improvement to her grades.
I on the other hand had no such problems having attended all the best prep schools (and had inherited my daddy’s smarts), so university was a breeze. Not that I was quick to correct people who assumed I wasn't smart, playing the dumb blonde helped to ensnare unsuspecting victims.

I wait and watch for my target to exit before making my way outside. I'm grateful that I put in the extra effort dressing up today as I knew this outfit both got boys drooling at my tits, and girls staring at my long legs with envy.
Thankfully not only is Brad still outside waiting, but it seems that Jessica is heading over to him. As he picked her up for a hug I grinned at the disparity between then, she barely came up to his chest and looked like she weighed nothing as he picked her up.

Not wanting to miss my chance, I walking slowly but with purpose over to them, making sure to subtly adjust my top lower as I do. I'm concerned that the dolt might not see me as he puts the girl down and picks up his bag, but a brief glimpse is all it takes. The effect is almost immediate as Brad goes wanting to beeline it out of here with his girlfriend to a drooling ape staring awestruck at me. Delighted at how easy it was to steal the male gaze away, I enjoyed the girl's brief pause before she turns around to berate me.

“Excuse me miss, I don’t know where you get off on thinking you own the place but this is my boyfriend so leave him alone”, it’s cute how much energy can be in such a small package.

“My most sincere apologies miss…”

“Jessica”

“Sorry Jessica, I didn’t realise he was taken”, I’m not content to leave without a little more teasing of my superiority over her, “but I think you’ll find I do, or rather, my dad does own most of the school”

“Oh my goodness I didn’t realise it was you Cotton, I am so-so-sorry”, she starts stammering out an apology, eyes looking at the ground in shame.

“No worries Jessica, and might I say you two make a cute couple”, my voice conveys a soft sweetness, and I feel my phone vibrate through my bag as she takes her time bringing her eyes back up to meet mine, jealously of how much taller I was with my long perfect legs evident, “But maybe next time pause for a minute before you explode on strangers, ok?”

“Yes ma’am” she says and drags Brad away.

Returning home for the day, I’m disappointed to see that I haven’t received another quest yet. I’m quite enjoying the feelings from watching myself improve with every perk I get. No matter, I can see that thanks to the quests I did have that I’ve leveled up and have some points to spend.

Interesting, it seems that I can also gain perk points through achievements too. I don’t know what the other achievements are, maybe there’s a referral bonus I can get if I John downloads the app.
Checking out the perks I got from that quest almost has me rushing to the bathroom to check myself out in the mirror, is the allure physical appearance like the beauty perk or something else I wonder.
Choosing instead to let the anticipation build so the reveal is all the sweeter, I resolve to wait till tomorrow to look and go back to my profile for now.

I check out the perk store and find a previously greyed out option with prerequisites is now available. What's even weirder is this one seems to be the only perk it will let me buy for now. Annoyed as I wanted to choose something else I buy the **** perk.

Lock in (3 perks) requires level 8, Power I: Questmaster cannot remove or reduce your perk levels. (Hidden: strong compulsion for Questmaster to give at least 1 new quest per day).

Seeing a hidden tag was unusual, did my other perks have hidden attributes too? I hadn’t felt anything unusual since I started, although it did answer a question I had, the Questmaster must be a person and not an AI. Pondering what it all could mean, I went to bed and resolved to investigate tomorrow.

Author's note: things will slow down in this branch from after this episode. I wanted her to be on the cusp of level 10 and felt Cotton deserved (almost) entirely her own chapter. I'll add in that in this branch, John is being influenced by the app to keep things on the class theme (even if he doesn't know it) and he's currently an invitee to the party. The reward wording was ambiguous so he wants to make her happy from now until after the party ends. I also realise the perk I've given her is a bit strange and the Hidden isn't a compulsion on her but I wanted a reason for John to not just remove her perks.
