Chapter 11 by christina_the_clumsy christina_the_clumsy

What does Christina decide?

Continues down the small, dark tunnel

Christina was no coward and her sense of justice would not be swayed by such a setback. After all, she still had some weaponry, even if those imps stole her sword. Given how small the tunnel was, her dagger would probably be a more effective weapon anyways. She slowly advanced through the kitchen, still cautious of the goblins returning, but it appeared that she was alone for the time being. The room didn't contain anything useful, just some sparse food and dull, useless cooking supplies. At the other end she spotted a larger door, one that was more suitable for a human. I must have some in the back way, she thought to herself. I bet this door leads to another part of the castle. This place seemed to be much bigger than Christina thought and the adventurer started to become nervous that she might get lost in here.

The door opened to some sort of common room, potentially used to host audiences before the castle fell to this dark magic. Like other rooms, this one was mostly barren, except for some dust and cobwebs and a entrance way to another hallway. As Christina started to exit she noticed a larger, wooden chest in the corner of the room. It immediately seemed suspicious, as the chest lacked any of the dust or dirt that was on everything else in the room. It could be a trap Christina thought to herself as she prepared to leave, before stopping and reconsidering. She was under-equipped at the moment and needed a better weapon; perhaps this chest contains some monster's sword or axe. She stopped for a moment to consider her options more.

Does Christina open the chest?
