"No. Nothing else," Amara replies.

"So not only was he from Earth, but from the kingdom you're from?" Eva asks. "Weird coincidence!"

"Country, not kingdom, but yeah. So The Edge has an even more unique bloodline than we thought."

Eva sighs. "Let's just start hitting buttons until the door opens."

Just as she raises up her hands, moments before they'd start slapping themselves all over the control panel, you grab both of her wrists and stare her straight in the eyes. "No. We aren't doing that. I can read it. Let me just hit that one right over there. The one that says Door Release II."

"Excuuuse me, but I can't read it, all right?"

"Then don't just hit buttons!" You let her go, and bring a finger down to the button in question. Hoping for the best, you push it with a wince. Though thankfully, nothing explodes. The other doors creak open instead, and a passage is opened with less of a rumbling. Wherever this leads, it may still be in use. You make sure to keep your weapon ready as you peer around the corner and into the next room.

"I'll lead the way," Niki says. She points her flashlight-shield ahead into the hallway and begins marching forth. "Just say behind me. Who knows what kind of weird stuff we'll find. We know he's got those ALICE golems, and then there were those different metal ones too. If this is where he lives... Ooh, I hope he's got something cool, like an automaton dragon."

"P-Please don't wish for things like that," Eva says as she scurries in behind.

You join alongside Amara, and the insectrin bring up the rear.
