Considerations and Revelations

David suddenly paused, thinking. He remembered the dream, not just for the dream itself, but so to for the fact that he remembered even part of it. Now he was wondering if he missed anything. It had spoken a lot about adding conditions, and what the terms could be, along with how they were carried out, yet, he could not remember anything about removal. Could he? He had already given his sister a condition, forcing her to hurt herself any time she entered the kitchen, if he couldn’t change that, and she had to do it forever? He would feel like a complete asshole. He took a moment to think. Just as he had done earlier, it had to be something obvious, yet not something that they would be loath to do, so as to never meet the conditions. Nor could it hurt them. He may have screwed up once. Not again. Eventually, after careful consideration, he settled upon something relatively observable, yet hopefully fairly innocuous. He turned to the first person he saw, it didn’t matter who, not for this, and stated the new conditions. She, for she just so happened to be, paused as she heard them. She blinked, she clicked her fingers. She continued to walk. David**** out a rush of air, preparing himself for what this would tell him. He took place beside her, matching her pace as he spoke once again. She blinked. She clicked.

“Shit.” She looked at him, frowning. He refocused. He spoke. She blinked. She clicked. He made sure to keep the swear in his head this time. He begged whatever would listen that his next try would work. He took a deep breath. He spoke. An awkward period passed as he waited for her to blink. He didn’t see her eyes. He did see her foot tap the ground a little harder. He sighed in relief, letting out the breath he had been holding. He pulled off, splitting from her as he took to one of the seats. He sat down and sighed once more, going over the restrictions he had found.

1. He can’t simply remove the terms, telling them to disregard it.
2. The inciting factor cannot be changed. If she has to click when she blinks, it cannot be altered to whenever does something else.
3. The conditions can be changed. Though she will fulfil the conditions whenever she blinks, no longer will she click, but instead tap her foot down.

He felt relief, he knew he could hep his sister. Not all was ruined. Still, it wasn’t urgent. What’s a little sibling rivalry? Then again, she won’t interpret it as something he had any involvement in, but still. No longer urgent. He grinned, looking up at the herds of people around him. Who to pick?
