Concern

Nadia charged her phone. There was five missed calls from Cameron and a bunch of texts.

“Nads, where are you?”

“Are you okay?”

“Hey Nadia, are you okay??”

“I’m sorry about before…”

“Nadia?”

It was 3AM and Cameron was probably asleep. Nadia sent a text.

“I’m sorry… My phone died when I was out. I came to a hotel… Talk tomorrow?”

Cameron called back immediately. She was still up at 3 AM worried.

“Nads? Are you okay?”

“Not really,” Nadia began to cry.

Nadia told Cameron about everything. Mark, cheating. The flasher and near ****. And how she was staying at The Pony.

“I’ll come pick you up,” Cameron said.

“No…” Nadia said, “I want some time to think…

“To think? You nearly got assaulted—“

“Please,” Nadia said.

Cameron paused and sighed, “I’ll come and pick you up in the morning.”
