"Alright little guy, I'm all ears." Eris kneels down and looks at the goblin.

"Ehem." Droopy clears his throat, puffs out his chest and clasps his hands behind his back. "Droopy cover girls with cum. Dog no smell girl. Easy sneaky."

The succubus doubles over laughing while Eris' face takes on a strange expression, as if deciding whether she wanted to kill herself or the goblin.

"What? What wrong with Droopy plan?" The goblin asks confusedly.

Finally the demoness stops wheezing enough to answer. "Nothing, Droopy nothing at all."

Eris glares at her. "Ok scratch that idea. I'll think of something."

Her mind drifts to the crates in the Goblin Boss' room. While she didn't want to be spattered with goblin cum, the idea of masking their scent was a good one.

She heads back to the cave and after a few minutes of searching, finds what she is looking for. There is a shipment of whale oil that the goblins had looted. Eris rubs the fishy-smelling substance all over her body and instructs the other two to do the same.

Surprisingly, Eris' plan actually works. They sneak past the slumbering guard wolf with no issue, its only reaction to wrinkle it nose in digust as they pass. As the trio stumble back out of the forest and onto the road, Eris catches sight of two familiar figures accompanied by a troupe of armoured men.

"Brandon! Marcus!" She yells, running toward them.

Upon hearing her voice, the two turn and run toward her, pulling Eris into a shared hug.

"Oh my god! I thought I lost you forever!" Marcus struggles to holds back his sobs. "We tried to stop the goblins from dragging you away but there were too many of them."

"I'm glad you're alright Riri." Brandon says, his voice thick with emotion. "I'll get stronger, to protect all of us."

The leader of the armoured men approaches. "Is this the way to the goblin nest?"

Eris nods and points at the direction she came from.

He acknowledges it and directs his men to start heading towards it. "Don't worry madam. We'll exterminate them. Your friends here were lucky we found them while on night patrol or there could have been more casualties. Sorry for not coming sooner but we could not risk an **** at night. Take care now." Curt and to the point, the royal patrol head off on their mission.

Her friends finally disengage from the hug.

"How did you manage to get out?" Marcus asks.

"And what is this smelly stuff sticking to you?" Brandon's nose scrunches up in disgust.

Eris laughs, she laughs until she breaks down into tears, finally able to let her emotions catch up to her. When she finally calms down, she calls out her two friends from the cave, who were hiding in the trees away from the patrol.

Brandon's eyes immediately bug out at the sight of the naked succubus while Marcus points at Droopy and goes as white as a sheet. "G-g-goblin!"

"Guys. Chill! He's cool. He's the one who helped me escape in fact. Brandon and Marcus, meet Droopy. Droopy, Brandon and Marcus." Eris introduces them.

"Hello. Me Droopy. Eris me girl." Droopy nods matter-of-factly.

"Hey! What does he mean by that?" Marcus says angrily.

Meanwhile, Brandon sidles up to the succubus. "Hey pretty lady, I don't think I caught your name. I'm Brandon. It's an honor to make your aquaintance."

"Brandon!" Eris hisses. "Behave yourself. This is... errr." Eris trails off, realizing that she never actually learned the name of the woman who had accompanied her out of the cave.

"Celia." The demoness offers. "Celia Lacroix."

"Wow, fancy name." Brandon scratches his head. "I don't exactly have a last name because I was kinda adopted by the village and all, but for official papers I use the name of the village Samoyed, and now that I think about it that's kinda lame..."

As Brandon rambles, Celia runs a finger along his chest, shutting him up. "Shhh, your face is much better when you don't talk."

For the first time in his life, Brandon is left speechless by a girl.

"Oh yeah, I have some extra clothes in my pack." Eris pipes up. "I can't believe I didn't think about it all this time."

"Or maybe it's because you liked seeing me naked?" Celia winks and Eris face becomes a tomato again.

'Oh my god.' The succubus thinks to herself. 'I'm gonna have so much fun with her.'

The goblin nest successfully conquered, the motley crew continue on their journey to the Royal Capital, with two new additions to the party.

The hike goes by smoothly and by noon, they see the trees start to thin and finally the road crests over a hill. As they reach the summit, they are greeted by the sight of an endless rolling plain. In the distance, an imposing city looms, surrounded by thick stone walls. Roads emerge from those walls and zig zag across the plains, one of them the exact road they are standing on.

Finally, the first phase of Eris' journey as at its end. They have travelled through Foxhound Forest and arrived at Royal Capital Dachshund. What awaits them within the walls of the city? What tribulations will Eris have to face? Find out in the next act of Eris' Awakening.
