Chapter 37 by crazydorian
Who do you want to meet with?
Coen and Lee
"Let's go with the pre-martial counseling," you say, taking a seat behind your desk. "Bring in Mr Cohen and Miss Lee, and we'll get them sorted out."
"Yes Sir," April replies, smirking as she leans into the secretary persona. "I believe several of your clients are waiting to use me, so--"
"That's fine, keep them company. I can handle the happy couple."
With a smile and a nod she leaves, barely-covered ass wobbling all the way. A few moments later, Cohen and Lee walk in. You shake hands and exchange introductions before gesturing for them to sit down.
Emma Lee is a petite Asian woman in her early thirties. Attractive overall, with tits just shy of a d-cup. She's dressed professionally, with a grey blazer, pencil skirt, and a cream-colored blouse. You've found over the years that even women under the D-Cup mark in this world tend to dress a bit more on the sexy side than your old reality, so it isn't a surprise that the blouse is unbuttoned to display some cleavage. She's chosen a pair of black stockings and some subtle makeup to round out the look.
Her fiance, Eric Coen, is definitely a contrast to his partner. He's several years younger, Caucasian, and definitely doesn't look like he's just come from the office. He's wearing faded jeans and a t-shirt beneath a plaid button-up, and he has a few days worth of stubble on his face.
Often when couples come in, you have some perverted path for them already in mind. This time, though, the only vague plan you have is to fuck Emma; the rest is still up in the air. With that in mind, you decide to act like a proper counselor and get to know them.
As it turns out, Emma is an adjunct history professor at the local university, working on her doctorate and supporting them both financially. Eric was employed until a few months ago, when he quit his job at Emma's urging to pursue his passion in video game design. That explains some of the discrepancies in their appearance: Emma just arrived from work, and Eric from home. Despite the contrasts, it sounds like the two share many interests.
"Well, let's get down to it," you say after a while. "You sound like a generally happy couple. What brings you here today?
Eric clears his throat. "Well I--"
"It's my family," Emma interrupts. "They don't understand us."
You notice that Eric immediately stopped talking when Emma cut him off; that might be a regular thing.
"Please go on." You gesture for her to continue. "What don't they understand?"
"Well... We don't.... We don't look like we go together," she begins.
"What she's trying to say is that she's out of my league," Eric finishes. Emma looks annoyed, but doesn't disagree. "They also--"
"They think he's a gold digger," she interrupts again.
"Well, impolite as that is, it makes a certain amount of sense," you answer. "You mentioned that even before Eric quit his job, you were making quite a bit more than him. I also recall a joke about a trust fund... Your family is pretty well off, I take it?" They both nod. "It isn't unusual for a wealthy family to be protective like that, but it usually gets better as they get to know the person. You've been together for several years; have you seen any improvement?"
"A bit," Eric starts.
"No," Emma finishes. "They're a little more polite in person, but any time he isn't in the room they don't have a single nice thing to say."
You continue discussing Emma's family for a while. Her sister and father are both doctors, but her mother is mostly a wealthy house-wife, with a few charity interests.
"Does your mother not see any similarity between herself and Eric?"
"I... I don't think so. It's just... I suppose it's more acceptable to be a trophy wife than a trophy husband, you know? No offense, Honey."
"None taken." Eric leans over and kisses her cheek. "I'm happy to be your trophy any day."
"There's no judgement here, but there's some truth to what you're saying. Society still accepts a husband supporting his wife financially, but looks down on the reverse situation. But that's your family. Do you think like that?"
"No... I don't think so," Emma sighs. "But if Eric and I get married, he'll have to put up with this forever, and... I'm worried that if we have a fight or something, and my parents keep talking to me this way, then... Maybe I'll start agreeing with them. You know, it's the kind of little thing that could drive a wedge between us." Tears well up in her eyes, and Eric reaches over to comfort her.
You give them a few minutes, then resume. "Well, the good news is that you're both pretty aware of what's happening here, and you're seeking help to deal with it. That's a great first step, and I do have some thoughts."
What course of therapy do you suggest?
