Cleaning a Training Field

"So, sensei." Naruto started as they left the ramen stand. "What's our mission today anyway?" Ino and Sakura exchanged looks, both immediatly wondering why they hadn't asked that.

"Ah, yes." Kurenai said with a small smile. "It seems that a team was too rough on Training Ground 45, and we've been hired by the Hokage to clean up the mess." She pulled out a scroll and glanced at it's contents. "We have to put down fresh sod, plant new trees, fill in some holes, replace some burned training posts, and change the water of the central pool."

All three genin restrained groans, and they got to their task. With Naruto's clones, it was much easier then any of them had expected, as Naruto was able to take care of everything simultaneously.

Despite the clone aid, it was still a long and arduous task. It took hours for it to be completed, even when Kurenai decided to pitch in halfway through. At the end of the day, all of them were sweaty and most of them were tired.

"Good work today, team." Kurenai said. "Time for us to call it a day. We'll meet back at our training ground at eight." Without a further word, she vanished in a small cyclone of air.

Sakura grunted out a goodbye before beginning her own trek home, while Ino hung around for a moment. "Let's... let's..." she started, her exaustion clearly showing. Naruto reached out and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Let's put off any practice until tommorrow, okay?" he asked gently. Ino managed a nod before beginning her walk home. Naruto shook his head. "You're not going to get too far on your own." With a thought, a new clone poofed into existance. It draped Ino's arm around it's neck before getting on it's way.

Now alone, Naruto took a moment to examine the training ground. After all their hard work, it looked good as new. "Would be a shame to let someone else use it first after all that." he muttered outloud. After another hand sign, a small squadron of Kage Bunshin appeared. "Get on with it." he said.

The clones all began various training exercises. Some swam, some practiced the chakra exercises Kurenai had shown them, while more sparred. Naruto heard a gasp behind him, and he spun around.
