She blushes slightly. “I think we made a bit of a connection today, however.”

You chuckle. “I’m just glad you’re getting along. So, is this something that’s always active?”

Nadia shakes her head. “No, I can control when I…feel things. And I need to be close.”

You nod. “Interesting. And you can hear Lilith as well?”

She smiles. “Yes. I am bonded to you, and since my powers let me use that, I can hear her whining at you.”

You laugh. “Be nice, Nadia.”

Nadia shrugs. “As you say, master. I just think she should be more grateful. Without you, she never leaves that tomb.”

You laugh and shake your head. “Well, I can’t complain, again. But now, I have work to do. We leave for Thalberg soon.”

Nadia gets more serious. “I should prepare as well. Your plans are ambitious, master, and I should support them as much as I can.”
