Chloe fires a level 1 blast at Jane

"Hey uh... Where did you get that?" Jane asks, pointing to the seemingly harmless plastic toy in Chloe's hand.

"What the fuck? The hell does that have to do with anything I just asked you? Where is John?"

Jane takes a step forward cautiously, trying to stall for time. She needs that raygun, but she needs to be careful. "He's uhh, on his way back. He told me to wait for him here so I just let myself in. Can I uh- Can I see that thing for a second?" She says with a small gulp, pointing to Chloe's hand.

The quick explanation seems to have slightly placated Chloe. She lowers her guard and holds the bimbo ray up. "Figures, that loser is always late, you really can do better than him you know..." Her tone changes completely and Jane can tell she has descended into her typical girl gossip mode.

"But John is... sweet?" Jane tries to prop herself up to her sister. Earlier when she was fresh off a blast from the raygun, when her sister mentioned the same thing... She couldn't help but agree with it somewhat. But now that she's gotten a better grip on the mental changes, she doesn't know what she was thinking... "He's really not that bad. Except there's something different this time...
