Check the cave

You enter the cave, it's colder as you step deeper into the cave, the faint light from the entrance is fading behind you. As you move forward, the main tunnel splits: one path continues straight, while the other descends deeply into the earth and you notice some crystals that glow with a purple light.

You pause, noticing an obscene totem planted in the ground near the split. It’s carved from dark wood, its surface covered in chaotic symbols that look more like graffiti than any language you’ve ever seen. The shapes are obscene representing cum, cocks, and asses as if scrawled by a hand driven by malice.

Do you continue to the main tunnel passing the totem or do you descend into the tunnel with the purple crystals?
You don't have a torch, and the visibility is poor, you have to walk carefully.
