Shanate examined the device; wondering how it actually worked. Her uncle told her that one of the dials on it was designed to 'change songs' it played. A small little view port next to it listed off the type of music it would play, at least according to him. Poor Mimic, good head for inventions, but he had no sense of rhythm. He couldn't tell one song from another.

She started to flick through the listings, wondering what they all were. Shanate pondered if she should have asked her uncle about them but again, he was music deaf. She kept checking until she couldn't remember them all.

"Dubstep, EDM, Rap, Salsa, Arabian, Club, Disco, Rock; how far does this go?" the half genie asked, as she kept flicking through before she scrolled back to the first one. The dial seemed to keep going but Shanate figured it would be better to keep her list small.

"Wonder if I should just sample them all?" she muttered to herself as she kept looking at the boombox.
