Charlotte gets crossed

At the end of the twenty-four hours Charlotte found herself cuffed to a metal frame. She heard the sounds of others around her, perhaps just as helpless, perhaps just as desperate. She suspected that this is a slave auction. What else would they do with stray slaves?

But if this is an auction, then where is Mistress Elizabeth? Strange, but now, as she knew for a fact that she is going to be a slave, no!, she is going to remain a slave, she would have given anything to become her toy instead of someone else's.
