Character Selection

John was standing in a white void that he stole from The Matrix. He was in a stylish dark navy suit and wearing expensive sunglasses in what he hoped made him look like a badass.

Lana was also there, wearing her outfit from the outside. John read that first time game masters would let their players ease into the games with a primer before delving into the game world. It helped act as a transition, but in this case it let him gauge what Lana wanted to experience.

“Before you,” John said as a few doors appeared in a row behind him, “are multiple options for playing this game. Door number one: you are a sexy vampire slayer tracking down the Vampire Lord. Door number two: you are a powerful vampiress hunting mortals. And door three: you are a powerless mortal trying to escape the clutches of a vampire. If you have any preferences let me know now.”

Lana thought for a second, “Those all sound like great options… it’s going to be tough to choose.”

Note: Comment which character you prefer Lana choose. Door 1 is Lana and John being on equal footing with each other. Door 2 is Lana being more dominant. Door 3 is Lana being more submissive.

If I had more time to write I’d try to do all three branches then link them to returning to the real world chapter. But I don’t sadly.
