It made me come back to my senses, so I hurryli concentrated once more, and in a flash, Jade was back as she always was. She was still on the ground, her pajamas drenched in mucus.

"Can you get up ?" I said as I was kneeling down to help her. She silently nodded before taking my hand to get up. As she went to sit on a chair, I fetched a dry towel and a hot cup of milk for her, then I sat next to her.

After a moment, I finally broke the silence. "So, how do you feel now ?"

"A little better, thanks." answered Jade, visibly still overwhelmed by her transformation.

I felt ashamed of myself: what the fuck was I thinking ?! Of course the stone's power was real, she materialized in my fucking hand in my fucking sleep ! Yet, I've let Jade persuade me, because... because I was curious. I traumatized my friend, maybe even ruined her life, out of curiosity. Well done dumbass.

"I'm sorry Jade, I-I-I shouldn't have done that to you. I just... even though, I felt like this stone could be the real deal, I ignored it cause I wanted you to be right... I was so scared of going insane, and now you're paying the price..."

Jade softly put her hand onto mine "No Andrew, don't blame yourself that much. I didn't believe it either and pushed you to do it, I'm as guilty as you..."

Not knowing what to say to confort her, I stayed as quiet as her, appreciating the contact of her soft skin on my hand. I finally gathered my courage to ask her what she wanted to do now. She took a little time to think, then said to me: "I need to tell Caroline about it."

"You're sure you want to talk about it, rather than just trying to forget what happened ?"

"Cal is very important to me, Andrew. For a subject this important, I need to talk to her."

"Yeah, you're right." After a moment, I carried on: "We need to take a short video of your transformation, otherwise she might not believe it. You think you can take it ?"

"Yes, we don't really have a choice."

I took out my phone as she stood up in the middle of the living room. I started recording, Jade sighted:"Okay, let's do this. Okay Cal, if I send you this video, it's because something really weird is going on, we need to call ASAP. It's too... bizarre to explain, I'd rather show you.". She looked up to me and nodded, so I closed my eyes with the stone in my hand and Jade Frog was back in a jiffy. She looked shyli at the phone and finished: "Please call quickly ribbit."

As I stopped the recording, I looked at her and couldn't help but notice that even with her skin green, weird hands and strange pupils, she was still beautiful. I then noted that I was staring at her face, and she was blushing. Way to not make her feel like a monster, you fucking moron ! I immediately make her regular Jade again.

"OK we're done, i'm gonna send you the video so that you can send it to Caroline."

"Okay" she replied. "And, hum... thanks Andrew."

"For the video ? It's nothing, no need to-"

"No, I mean... for not trying the whole... breeding... thing."
