Championship Game: The Cougars win!

After trailing badly at half-time and looking like a team devoid of spirit the Cougars looked like a completely different unit when the third quarter got under way. Leah’s motivational efforts had clearly made a significant impact on their performance.

The quarterback's reading of the opposition plays had improved significantly and the passes that had previously been going to nobody or were being deflected were now hitting their targets regularly.

The star wide receiver was getting clear space on most plays and absolutely bamboozling his opposing Predators cornerbacks with his sublime footwork. He was making spectacular leaps and dives for miraculous catches that helped them gain good yardage.

The tight end was blocking anything that came his way when his role was to provide protection and he was getting himself open when being used as an attacking threat. He had one big highlight where he steamrolled over an opposition defender for a touchdown.

The running back was making significant yards after contact on each of his runs. He was leaving Predators defenders in his wake and finding gaps in the line that he hadn’t been finding in the first half. He was even hauling in catches when the ball was thrown his way.

The team began their final drive making good yardage from some nice plays to get themselves to the opposition thirty-five-yard line with just ten seconds left on the clock and one timeout left. The next play would most likely decide the game.

With so little time left the Cougars wanted to play it safe and get themselves into a comfortable field goal range for their kicker but that required a further five yards. The plan was a running play and was executed as drawn up, but unfortunately, the opposition’s defense line had read the play perfectly and shut it down before it had a chance to succeed. The play gained no yardage and Coach Reed decided to send out his kicker to attempt the field goal after using his last timeout. It was a gamble as it would be a career-long for the young kicker but he was feeling supremely confident after his half-time motivation he had received from Leah.

The team lined up in formation and he was in position awaiting the snap. When it came he moved in and struck the ball perfectly. It never deviated from its path and sailed smoothly between the goalposts for the three points. The Cougars had won by one point. Coach Reed and the team were high-fiving and hugging each other. They had won the championship!

All the cougar fans in the stage roared and many began to rush the field, Leah among them--dragged by some of her students from her homeroom class.

Leah joined in the mass of cheers and hugs a few cheerleaders were overly emotional and crying tears of joy. {if championship_blowbang =1} Leah felt a padded chest grab her from behind and pick her up and she heard the cheers from one of the players. When she turned to look it was the quarterback. She tried not to think she had just had her mouth wrapped around his cock not long ago. {endif}

Coach Reed and Leah finally met on the field and she embraced him. Even in front of all these people there was no suspicion--everyone was hugging and high-fiving.

"We did it!" He roaded to Leah as he let go of a long almost sensual hug. "Thanks to you I might add."

"Hey...Go Cougars." she smirked. The noise of the game reverberated in her mind as she got in her car and headed home to Jonathan.

The drive took a while and when she finally got home Jonathan was in bed. He groggily kissed her.

"Who won?" he asked sleepily.

"We did." Leah said as she began to take off her clothes and get ready for bed.

"I'm glad." he said, turning over in the bed and closing his eyes while adding "Good night babe." She hoped he hadn't noticed anything off. She tidied up quickly then slipped into bed tired from the long day and she was soon asleep.
