Catching Up On Other Worlds(Fanmail Chapter)
For the first time in a long time, all of Felix's harem managed to share a room together. After lunch, they all piled into the library to watch TV, as everyone was either exhausted, or had been reminded by Paisley that they should try joining the rest of the group as to avoid elimination. But it was genuinely one of the first times that most of the harem was in the same place when it wasn't during a meal or for a challenge. Even Castelilise managed to join them through a canal in the library. The books and electronics were presumably water proof, but nobody could prove it for sure either way. However, everyone being present made the few remaining absences more noticeable.
Without either host needing to make an announcement, the reality that Z was gone became evident to everyone in the harem. Nobody decided to ask about it, as while most hadn't been oppressed by the oni like Nox had been, nobody really had a reason to want her around either. Felix was thrilled to not have to worry about what her graduation would do to his world, and that he wouldn't have to face her again after using the power of his voice on her. Cammy was thrilled to have someone who wanted to keep her boyfriend perpetually naked, and who would've been very willing to abuse the rules Harem Hotel set out for them, out of the harem. Noah was pleased because she viewed Z as someone who encouraged Felix's worst habits of withdrawing and being passive, given the oni's dominant nature both in and out of the bedroom. Janessa had no love lost for someone who had beat the tar out of her, even if Smith as a human arguably deserved it, and Jamina had one less barrier to reconnecting with Felix. Even Castelilise didn't mind having less competition for Felix's dick, and hadn't been the biggest fan of the way the oni treated Nox. Of course, no one benefited as much as Nox, who looked better than they had every other time the group had seen her as a goblin.
On the flip side, the absence of Hailey became much louder. Wherever she was, her absence represented another failure of Felix to protect her, or for anyone else to, despite Hailey doing what should've been optimal by the standards of Harem Hotel. It was frustrating because the master feeling guilt over it just played into the design setup by Vizrokoth, where his reactions to it would push him towards being better by the standards set out by Harem Hotel. But the failure of those standards to be lived up to hung over the room like a cloud, darkening the mood.
With all of that in mind, the group chose to watch the first round of Kiss the Girl, Save the World. The option they selected didn't have quite as much time compression, so it took most of the afternoon. That was just fine, as the group in general wanted to laze away the afternoon, not thinking about all the things that had happened, or that were going to happen, while they were in trapped in the bunker...
Noah chose to write the most fanmail. She saw multiple contestants potentially making mistakes, and the absence of Hailey had made the slime girl rather cognizant of the cost such mistakes could have in Harem Hotel. After she finished said fanmail, she was surprised by Paisley teleporting into the room, and dumping multiple responses to said fanmail in front of the slime girl.
"Time shennigans dear, they got this fanmail a ways back," Paisley said. "Don't ask further about it, it will just hurt to think about. Otherwise, as usual, please try to talk to the audience about what you think of the fanmail."
Before Noah could try to ask about it anyway, Paisley disappeared. Bereft of any other options, Noah began with reading Andromeda's reply.
Noah,
Thank you for the correspondence.
We only caught your season’s second challenge last night as a hint to our upcoming one. I suppose it being in a dreamscape denied me the ability to see you as you are. Regardless, from the research I have done, slimes are quite durable, with several damage resistances and/or immunities. Have you tried cutting yourself in half or taking lightning damage yet? Some oozes can split into two entities when that happens. It might be worth exploring. The ability to squeeze through tight spaces is also potentially useful.
Assuming you did not see my verbal response (our Host notes that it did not seem to happen in her experience as a game participant), the orientation change is an ongoing process. From what Mona has told me, the emotion application she has access to indicates that I am severely lacking in the sexual attraction intensity sliders. I can only feel “mildly horny” (whatever that means), “moderately brazen” (which certainly helped with yesterday afternoon’s bunny bouncing performance), and “mildly attracted” for both biological sexes (which means only an idle curiosity, at least when the horny emotion does not kick in). I am sure that I will be properly attracted to Mona by the time the game ends, but it is a bit of a struggle at the moment.
I also do not do well with people. That partially explains my tendency to isolate. The scope of the problem my world faces is another part. I will admit that I have been viewing the staff here more as a source of resources than as people; reflecting on another letter helped me see that.
I know that I need to play the game with Mona (and with the others, too) if I hope to get her to the point where she can save the world. It is also not as if I have not been working on that line of attack, either. I am in third place, even before my date.
But, your point is taken. If it feels like I am isolating myself too much, write back and correct me.
Forgive the sign-off. Mona assigned the epithet.
Andromeda Saloman
Mona’s bestest sex robot
Noah was very happy with the response she got from Andromeda. The slime girl saw so many potential mistakes the robot contestant had been making, but she was at least aware of her limitations.
"I must say, you are doing incredibly well for someone who used to be asexual," Noah said. "A change to sexuality is hard in any situation, but having a sexuality when, from the sound of things, you didn't have one before must make it much harder. I say this because you've had to overcome a lot, and I want to emphasize whatever I say to you, you're having to deal with incredibly difficult circumstances."
The slime girl slid around the room in a way similar to the way a person would pace around a room while talking. "Rather than repeat my warning from the letter, I'd say the other thing to do is stay in the present. Yes, the threat in the future matters, but to get there, you must thrive in the present. Understand the people around you, in the here and now, to be able to best help Mona in the future. That can be harder and more frustrating than reading books in the library, but is ultimately more beneficial."
Satisfied with her advice to Andromeda, Noah started on the next letter.
Noah,
We only saw your second challenge, so I assume that I have missed some things; I was a little focused on solving how it was a hint for us to pay attention to your harem’s nuances.
I made a note of our points scheme allowing me to ignore the usual problem when a contestant’s sexuality doesn’t line up with the nature of the contestant’s Master in my verbal response; I stand by it. Also, Mona is perfectly happy just watching me plow my S.O. (still don’t know if that kind of talk is starting too soon) for her enjoyment. If another guy is added to the harem, I will consider your suggestion; Winter is surprisingly open with our relationship.
On your end, how are you coping with your forced sexuality change? That has to be difficult. I get that intrusive changes happen to us, but something like that has to leave a mark that takes time to heal. I wasn’t training to be a shrink, but you should take the time to work through those changes. I hope that you are happy with Felix. He looks like a good, if overwhelmed, guy.
Tegan is a challenge. A hateful little ball of envy and spite. I made the first step and she barely budged. But, that budge was more than I ever expected. I hope for Mona’s sake that she’ll grow up, stop the self-delusion, and figure out how to more than begrudgingly tolerate the rest of us. It’ll take time and effort on her part. Maybe Scarlet’s lesson will sink in; maybe Mona will convince her to stop lying to herself. Wherever it comes from, it needs to happen. As I already offered, I will forgive her when she’s ready to be forgiven.
Mona gets to add a little something to our sign-off, so you know.
Good luck with your guy,
Kevin
Mona’s bestest friend and Winter’s sexy bull
P.S. Winter here, adding a little bit to my sexy bull’s letter. How willing would Felix be in having a threeway with myself and whichever form of Kevin would be most appealing? I’m curious. He has a very pretty cock and I want to feel it inside me.
The response from Kevin was reassuring to Noah, as it was clear this contestant had it together.
"I do admit I've forgotten that your season is somewhat less overwhelmingly horny compared to others," Noah said. "Forgive me if I come off as intrusive, I've just seen how bad things can get. Tylangan's origin season, for instance, is not for the feint of heart."
Once again, Noah paced around the room by sliding around on her slime. "As for my own sexuality change, it was... intrusive, but something I was able to get to pace with. But then, our host has a tendency to give contestants a massive increase in libido to go along with any changes to their sexuality. I don't know how often you masturbated on Earth, but imagine needing daily masturbation to get an idea of what it's like."
Noah then finished out by addressing Winter. "Hate to say this, but Felix is extremely gynophillic. I use that term not just to be progressive but because I think he has some hangups about men that cause some of his kinks involving women to be... very unique lets say. Regardless, there's a reason we're all girls here, even if yours truly is technically a sapient pile of shapeshifting slime. But enough of that, good luck out there and save your world..."
Felix knew exactly the type of shithead Craig was. He needed to warn Mona, do everything in his power to ensure that she didn't fall victim to a manipulative shithead. Why Tylangan had any patience for him Felix couldn't grok, but he wouldn't let another woman fall victim to someone like him. So he wrote a letter, sealed it, and dropped it off to be sent...
Only to then immediately get the response back from Mona. Time with Harem Hotel continued to make his head hurt to even think about, so Felix just opened the letter and got ready to respond.
Hiiiiiiii, Felix!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope the rest of your date went good and you got to cum a lot. Tegan asked me not to flirt with people outside the harem, so I am going to be a good fiancée and keep my fantasy to myself. To be fair, it hasn’t really changed since dinner.
Okay, so I guess I am missing something if you are warning me based on watching my season. I really feel like I have Craig under my control. He hasn’t even really done anything wrong since I got the command power, and all the bad stuff he’s done was insults directed at the staff. I have just gotten to watch an episode this morning. Scarlet and Tyalangan had an interesting date on it. I might be into SPH now? I’ll have to try it, but I’ll need to find a target that’s okay with it. It’s kinda mean to laugh at someone’s junk when it would hurt their feelings.
Okay, I got off-topic. Next thing. I won’t leave anyone out! I think I have made some good progress making sure everyone got points. I bought so many lessons for Craig when he was trying to get out of his debt. Gaia got a bunch a points with me on her date. Tegan got as many points as she could bring herself to get after we went upstairs and she was sooooo cute bouncing on that dildo yesterday! I set Kevin up with one of the staff on his date so he could have fun and get points; he was grumpy about it being a surprise, but he was okay with it when he figured it out. Tessa and I had a good date last night and she got lotsa points.
I am a little worried about Andromeda tonight, but not about points. Her bunny bounce more than convinced me that she’ll be able to earn plenty with me. She’s hiding something from me, something big.
Generally, that advice about being a pervert is good, but I do have to think about a little more than that. Tyalangan has that whole “they have to be doing it ‘cause they like me” thing in our rules. Didn’t matter how much I wanted Craig that night (until I didn’t); he wasn’t going to get points with me because he didn’t want me as more than a cumdump. I hope he has changed his mind by now.
From our trip to the museum last night, Calypso didn’t seem that bad? I must be missing something there, too.
Why does it feel like I am the last one to know about some important stuff in my life?
Thanks!
Mona
Before Felix could respond, Paisley teleported near him and said, "Keep in mind, Mona has adapted to your letter in the meantime, and that has included further punishment of Craig. Assuming you continue to watch the season, she will be in a much better position."
After Paisley disappeared, he chose to continue. "So yeah, you seemed to understand this advice. I think for the rest of your harem, you've got the right idea in regards to finding a balance, I just emphasize taking initiative because some contestants find that really hard. This is why seeking out contestants and trying to steer your sexual fantasies towards those already in your harem is the right idea, even if they need to be willing to meet you halfway to get the associated VP from it."
Felix then paced around, trying to remember if there was anything else she needed to know. "Most of all Mona, never blame yourself for Craig's shitty behavior, or anyone else who treats you poorly in the bedroom. It's your body, and you know what feels good, not some asshole who can't even use his dick properly..."
Nox's main reaction to seeing other seasons of Harem Hotel had, so far, been jealousy. Tegan had been the first contestant to make the goblin feel sympathy instead of jealousy, as she saw the person she once was. The motivation was different, but the relentless focus on athletics reminded Nox far too much of her prior self, when she had a different first name and proudly used her last name of Hanson.
After getting over the initial shock of receiving a reply so quickly after turning in the latter, and the confusion once it was explained to her there were time shennigans going on, Nox read Tegan's reply.
Nox (or whatever your name was before),
Forgive the initial repetitiveness, but what was done to you was heinous. I thought the indignities put upon me were beyond the pale, but your elimination chills me to the core. It is crueler than the eliminated contestant I met on my set. I hope that there is a way to reverse what was done to you.
My sport is a series of individual events. I may have been “on a team,” but that merely meant that I had people to be measured against during training. I did not do friendship, I did not do camaraderie. I had a goal and I focused on it: to be the best I could be. And everyone and everything that distracted from that were to be ignored.
That hyper-competitive focus was slowly killing me. I couldn’t see it at the time. Now I do.
This situation I find myself in is repugnant. That blue-skinned freak has taken much from me already. She is bound to take more. But, the situation did provide some positive things too. Most notably, Mona has acknowledged our engagement properly. One of my goals is to make sure she never strays from me again.
So, I will try harder to get along with the others. If I am forced to share my fiancée with them, then it is only right. I don’t need them monopolizing Mona’s time more than necessary.
If you have any ideas on how I can get my revenge on the freak that kidnapped me, let me know. I am sure I can find something to help you get revenge on your cow-tittied demon Host.
Ignore the indignity at the end. Mona gets to add to our signature.
Regards,
Tegan
Mona’s sexy fox-waifu
It was then Nox had to explain something to Tegan that was brutal. Something that almost brought her to tears on the spot.
"Believe it or not, I'm still a competing contestant," Nox said between tears. "Elimination, true elimination, is even worse than what has happened to me. I know that because I've seen it. And if you keep being jealous, possessive of Mona, it could also happen to you. I know for sure it's going to happen to Craig, so you'll get a frontrow seat to how horrific elimination truly is. This is me being punished for a crime I can't even remember anymore, and that because of reality alterations, didn't happen."
Nox had to sob for a few minutes to collect herself to continue. The reality of how bad her position was crushing, even if it had started to get better. "Appreciate your position Tegan. Your host is kind to you, and is far more patient with your issues compared to mine. I know transformation is tough but the thing with Harem Hotel is it can always be worse. However if you manage to avoid elimination, it can also be better. I'm no longer under the oni's thumb, and I've started to get a better relationship with my ancestor."
Before Nox left the room, she said one last thing. "Also, keep an eye on Craig. I'm pretty sure he's barreling towards elimination, but he might do something stupid to Mona, and interrupting his bullshit early could protect your fiancee, and yourself, from some messy fallout. I know all too well that someone being a self-destructive asshole rarely stays contained to them..."
Janessa Smith knew quite well the dangers of moral certainty. Seeing another make that mistake, even though they came from a radically different background than she did, made the angel want to reach out, and warn another of the dangers of that path. Gaia was clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she had good intentions when it came to Mona, and the angel hated to see such a sweetheart make the same mistakes she did as a human man.
That did nothing to quell Janessa's surprise at getting a response almost immediately after sending out her fanmail.
Hi,
So, you are an angel? What’s that like? You sit around and play harps on clouds? You go send messages to mortals? Is your deity nice? Does he want to save the environment? Does he have a big dick? I’m curious.
Why is everyone telling me to abandon Malar? Some of the other letters I got imply that He’s been speaking bad stuff to me, but those are just weird dreams and stuff, right? He wouldn’t take interest in ME like that, right?
Maybe I was told right, maybe I was told wrong, but I didn’t start following Malar just ‘cause I hated humanity. I was in other eco-groups, the ones that followed Chauntea or some deity equally as passive, and they were nothing more than wind. Sure, we’d canvass, we’d petition, we’d march, but it didn’t change anything; the powers that be would ignore us. Malar’s Acolytes actually accomplished things! They struck out against civilization’s encroachment. Sure, trying to blow up that Dam was dumb; I can see that now. But I was sick and tired of Gaia’s (the planet, not me) pain being ignored.
I will admit that I am starting to see the nice blasphemers ways are better, even if I don’t get all of it right now. I have been thinking about the bees Skye keeps. I have been thinking about the gardens Skye and Nyadia have been tending to. I have been thinking about that compost pile in that alley too.
While humanity at home is a blight, the equivalent here shows that “humanity” can co-exist with nature. I have no idea HOW to fix humanity at home; that’s for the thinky types to figure out.
From the plans I helped Teach make, I am sure I wasn’t the only one to show the kid a good and fun bedroom time, but I thank you for your nice thoughts. I try. I want to protect the kid, so I will. She’s sweet.
I will keep trying to be good for her. You should try to be good for your Master too. I thought devils were the bad ones? Aren’t deities and angels good by definition?
Thanks!
Gaia
Mona’s sexy shapeshifter
As with the others, Janessa Smith was told by Paisley to respond in person. So the angel did, pacing around her bedroom naked while doing so. The restrictions of her altar still applied after all.
"Good and evil is... complicated," Janessa Smith said. "Very complicated. For instance, I'm an angel for a faith by a massive pervert. My present nudity isn't by choice, but by the restrictions of the nearby altar. That faith dresses itself in things associated with purity, goodness, and so on, but is... not that. At least not in a way any faith on Earth discussed it."
Janessa paused, as if looking at Gaia. "All of which is to say, appearances can deceive, as can the message someone sends you. Your current god hates you, because your actual morals are repugnant to one who is a god of predators that wants to mangle, and murder the helpless in an overly simplified version of survival of the fittest. He only protects nature insofar as it helps that vision, and not in any sense that you should care about."
It was then that Janessa sat on her bed, and gave a contemplative look. "Looking for guidance can make you easy to manipulate. At this point though, I think you will do far better as a protector to Mona than you have as a protector of nature, because the latter is so difficult at even the best of times. Find a new deity, and I suspect the latter will get easier when you live in a world where that deity can guide you more directly..."
Jamina Lightbringer remembered being a completely different person before, but also having that clash with her present memories. It was the experience of having multiple sets of conflicting memories that caused her to reach out to Tessa, along with having some experience in fighting the type of being that haunted Tessa's world. However, none of that prepared her for getting a response to her fanmail almost immediately. Still, such a prompt response deserved the high elf's acknowledgement, and response.
Jamina,
Thank you for the correspondence. I have had some more time to mull over the details and wish to share more thoughts.
I do not wish to be rude, so forgive me if this is a faux pas, but is “Jamina” your proper name? Perhaps we have been turned into elves from different cultures, but three syllables seems to be a very short adult name. My proper adult name is Alyayavan, which translates from our version of Elvish to “bountiful harvest” in the Common tongue; Tessa is also derived from a word meaning “harvest” in Greek. I have been using my human name for both convenience and as a way to help ground me to my human experience.
There are certainly advantages to being like this, though I can see the periodic need for pool time to rest my lungs eventually getting annoying. The memories can be overwhelming. Tyalangan made the family that adopted me quite loving and supportive, even more than my human parents were. I still want to hold onto my old life. You are right to say that it has shaped me into who I am today.
I can only imagine how much happier my sister’s false lives were compared to his human one. The fact that she has rejected the old human life so thoroughly speaks to that.
You are correct about teamwork, though I do not think that your message needed to be delivered to me. From what I can tell, I have been generally getting along with the others. Tegan is a special case, as she has issues she needs to work through; I attempt to meet her halfway but she almost refuses to budge. Craig is another, though I don’t think that we will be worried about him for much longer, given his point situation. Given what I saw in the Hall of Eliminations last night, that is unfortunate for both him and us. I don’t know what horror my sister will inflict, but I do not think she will enjoy it. I also do not think Mona will enjoy the results, long term.
Speaking of her, I know I have hang-ups about Mona. She is a third of my human age (and an eleventh or so of my elven one). The elven memories both help and hurt that problem. On one hand, elven culture here is a lot more willing to indulge in sex with much younger people, so long as they are older than the age of consent for their species; on the other, it teaches elves not to get emotionally attached to short-lived lovers like humans. I also am having some issues with trying to sexualize a former student. I feel like I crossed lines I normally should be arrested for with Andromeda and Tegan, and I didn’t even touch them. I definitely went beyond ethical standards last night. I understand the situation, but need more time to adjust; I hope I can do it.
The last lines of your letter are the most intriguing. You say your new memories include fighting eldritch horrors? How does one successfully overcome such things? The literature the staff has collected offer little insight on the matter. Advice would be appreciated.
Forgive the last bit. Mona is allowed to add to our sign-off.
Arba anwa, minya síla...
Alyayavan
The sexier sister
"My first name is indeed Jamina," The high elf said while pacing around the room. "My culture doesn't have the distinction between child and adult names with first names. However, we do have ones with last names, albeit it is not based on age. Rather, it's based on the last name we get from our families, versus the one we get from our chosen line of work. My familial last name must never be shared with outsiders, hence, I go by Lightbringer, for my primary role on my world was fighting the eldritch forces that lurked in the dark."
Jamina began to pace around the room, walking as if there was a camera following her as she spoke her response to the letter. "You are indeed integrating well with your team, that was a bit of projection on my part. Until recently I was isolated from Felix's group by someone I was attached to, and am now somewhat isolated by the mess of conflicting memories I have between being an elf versus being a teacher. Unlike other members of my group, I have access to all of my memories, and that leads to exhausting set of alternative timelines."
It was then that Jamina came to a sudden stop. "There is one exception, and that is when it comes to your troubles around engaging with Mona. I unfortunately gained a great deal of experience with this very topic, given I used to be one of Felix's teachers. Worse, I was under the thumb of someone who was... well, potentially the worst teacher you could imagine in terms of abusing power dynamics to get sex. Perhaps because of that, she was unfortunately the perfect person to be a contestant on Harem Hotel. She often said the best thing someone on Harem Hotel could do was the thing they wanted to do anyway."
Silence filled the room as Jamina had to collect herself. Kei Winters, despite having been gone for days, still disgusted Jamina. It was not even the age gap, as that was something that no longer bothered her. The elf had plenty of experience fucking humans that were more than a century younger than her, and often enjoyed men who had just come to eighteen years of age because they had plenty of energy for sex. No, the issue was just how much she abused her position vis via her students. None of her students could really consent, not with the leverage Kei Winters had, and on some level, the woman knew it. The way she would, step by step, make students accept violation after violation until they woke up one day fucking her, and had no way out because of her total, all encompassing leverage. If it wasn't for those memories being fake, it would've kept Jamina Lightbringer enraged.
"In practice what that means if you have to imagine what a pervert would want to happen, regardless of how unethical it is," Jamina continued. "Any sense of shame or guilt is a weakness that puts you at a disadvantage. You are supremely lucky with who your host is, but given the power the audience wields, that advice unfortunately still applies. Because your mistress is of age of consent, the only barrier this place seems to respect is gone. You do no favors to yourself or Mona imagining that any barrier from either your difference in age, or your prior professional situation, should still apply. I know this adjustment is hard, but please make it as quickly as you can."
"But enough about that," Jamina Lightbringer wiped away tears. "I am sure you want to know how I fought eldritch beings. There are many things I learned tactically, but that would require knowing the creature you are going to face for that advice to be helpful. So instead what I will emphasize is that hope, naive as it sounds, is often the key. Rendering someone helpless, despondent, and nihilistic, is often what these entities depend on. However, when they can't do that, when someone is able to keep calm, and act as a fortress others rest their fragile psyches on, even the strongest and strangest of beings can fall."
Jamina wished she could've left it there. That she could've just given Tessa a message about keeping up the morale of those around her. But that message would be dishonest, and lack of honesty was unacceptable when fighting beings like the ones they did.
"The other side of this is a continuation of the message I gave you in the context of Harem Hotel," Jamina Lightbringer said. "I have done horrific things to just hold off, much less defeat, the type of being you are going to fight. I killed a mentor I held dear because his mind had been corrupted, and the only solace I have is that he asked me to. Said solace wasn't present when I had to kill a once promising prince who had been corrupted, but I did it. And unlike with Kei Winters, I know my current elven memories are the true ones. While I've rarely had to do something sexual to fight eldritch beings, I would be unsurprised if I had to do so in the future. Hopefully, none of these are things you will have to grapple with, and indeed, whether any of them apply should be a matter of research. Doing something horrible for no reason is often worse than doing nothing at all. But when the time comes, and you know what must be done, don't hesitate. Ensure none of your peers do either."
The high elf, satisfied with her answer, grabbed a pair of ear plugs she had bought earlier in the day, and then left to start her date with Felix. Jamina was going to teach him an important lesson, and one that she suspected would grant her VP. But the real lesson was very different. One day, Harem Hotel was going to let them go, and when that happened, the high elf was going to be ready, to save both Felix's world and her own. Part of being ready meant making Felix into the kind of person who could fight the eldritch, and win. That meant showing how fragile his most recent grasp on power truly was...
