Catching Flights...Not Feelings

Wheels up. I sat next to Giorgio on the plane ride back to Florida. We were quiet. So much fun was had, but we did have our secrets. Carlo asked me not to say anything about his relationship with Marco. And I was sure Gio had a secret concerning Elaina. After all, he did disappear with her for hours when I was with the guys.

He reached for my hand and kissed the top of it, “Soon, we’ll be home.”

I nodded. Home. We’d be back in Pensacola ready to resume our lives for a time.

****

Two weeks it had come and gone. I had not heard from Danny. Like I said…it was what it was…good sex in a nice city on the company’s dime.

I stared at my calendar. Boston…I did have a three-day weekend plotted on my calendar for May 27th-29th. I’d shoot all three days and enjoy Sean and Anita all three nights. I smiled. But at that moment, I had another trip on the books.

I received a text from Antoine, “I’ll see you at the spot in a couple of hours.”

“Okay. See you soon.”

A naughty grin appeared on my face. This would be three nights of getting my back blown out in the with no strings attached.

And just as I was about to leave, I heard the door open. I saw Giorgio. I had not seen him in a week. He and Katia were away bonding in the woods with other couples on a retreat. They asked me to join them but it didn’t feel right to be the only single person.

“You’re back?”

“Yeah. We had a great time."

"Where is Katia?”

"She was feeling a little tired. I dropped her off at home. I’m going to get some stuff from the grocery store. I wanted to see if you wanted to stop by for dinner but it looks like you have plans.”

“Yeah. Just going out for the weekend. I’ll be back Monday morning.”

“Going to New York?”

“Not this time. Just to hang out with some friends in Alabama.”

“Do you have a little time for this old friend? I haven’t seen you since last week.” He lifted me and carried me to the sofa.

I knew it would delay my arrival but Antoine wasn’t going anywhere. He peeled off my pants. I played in his hair and he sipped and sucked. When his lips were covered in my honey, he looked up and grinned.

Quickly, he removed his shorts. He lay on top. I felt him penetrate. All that thickness inside of me. I held on tightly and moaned every second until he paused and sucked my nipples. He sat on the sofa. I straddled him. He caressed me tenderly.

Our foreheads touched. Had I not stepped aside, I thought for a brief second. I hummed. He stood and caressed my ass just before sending me up and down his rod. My tits wobbled. We groaned loudly. He hissed and grunted. Satisfaction. Elation. Bliss. We smiled.

My feet touched the floor. We stood kissing for a few minutes. He touched my nose, “Have fun but not too much fun.”

****

I was on Interstate 10. The GPS showed I still had thirty-five minutes on the drive. He called, “Hey, where you at?”

“I am not far….”

He kissed his teeth, “I knew you weren’t going to leave on time.”

I chuckled, “I’m almost there. What did you get to eat?”

“I guess you’ll see when you get here.”

“Okay then.”

“Be safe.”

****

Years after breaking up, he finally understood the assignment. I parked in the driveway next to his car. The beach house was lovely from the outside. Pristine white with blue and green trim. The plants were vibrant and the yard was well manicured. He met me at the door with a glass of white wine. We kissed in the doorway.

The door closed and locked, “Finally,” he said as if he was relieved that I had made it.

The table was set. More wine, wings, and on my plate…all flats. I chuckled, “You remembered.”

“Of course. How could I ever forget.”

He pulled out my chair. Then he sat. There were wings, pizza, and salad, simple yet effective. We headed to the sofa with another bottle of wine. I asked to see pictures of the baby. He pulled out his phone and showed me the first one.

“Oh, she’s gorgeous. She looks just like you…thank god.”

He shook his head, “You gone stop referring to my wife as ugly.”

I laughed, “You’re right,” I said as I straddled him. I felt him rising. “It’s mean. All I’m saying is thank god for the kid's sake. She took all your gorgeous attributes. Your dark skin, pretty brown eyes, and nice curly hair.”

I showered him with kisses. “Damn, I miss being kissed like this.”

“Well, I’m here now. You have me this whole weekend to yourself.”

I unzipped his pants and played with it. He moaned sweetly in my ear and then I kissed his mouth, “I wanted to have all your babies.”

“Yeah? How many?”

“I was thinking five. First a son,” I said before I sat on his stiff rod. Up and down I went, “Then we’d wait a year and have fraternal twins.”

“Ummmm,” he moaned.

“Then wait two years before having another boy.”

“Um, yeah.”

“Um hm," I moaned slowly, "then have a little girl. She would be spoiled rotten to the core.”

He lifted me. I looked into his eyes as he thrust. My hips rocked up, “Oh wee, damn,” he said as he felt me vibrate. We could hear his cock sliding back and front. “Niagra falls down there,” he joked.

I chuckled, “That that mean stroke you got making me gush.”

“You like this big dick.”

“Um-hm, yes babe, fuck.”

He went faster. My nails were deep in his back. I cried out. He burst inside me, it ended with a long sweet kiss.

****

I was in the kitchen. He was outside on the patio. I assumed he was calling his wife and child. He stayed out there for an hour and then came inside, “Smells good up in here.”

“I made your favorite.”

He placed his hand on the small of my back and kissed my cheek, “Buttery grits and seared steak with onions and peppers.”

I handed him the plate, “Here you go.”

He sat at the island. I stood in front of him. “You not going to eat?” he asked.

“I ate as I was cooking.”

He chuckled, “You still do that.”

I nodded, “Yep. How are things back in Louisiana?”

“Oh, they straight. Thanks for asking.”

"I’m not heartless. I am happy for you.”

“Thank you.”

After breakfast, we went for a walk on the beach. It was peaceful. I had a bag with me. I stopped to inspect some seashells and added them to the collection I had been gathering. He leaned over and picked out a few. I took them from his hand.

“So, you and Danny?”

“I haven’t heard from him since Boston. I guess he’s busy.”

“Probably good y’all don’t get together.”

“And why not?”

“I mean…he is my boy.”

“He was your boy. Y’all were friends in middle school. That was a long time ago.”

“So do you like him?”

I sighed, “You kind of ruined the idea of relationships for me.”

His head dropped, “Damn.”

“I know it’s hard to hear. But I don’t know.”

“I really am sorry J.”

I hugged him, “I know. Let’s finish our walk.”

****

The weekend was magnificent. It was better than all the ones he had shared when we dated. I couldn’t believe Monday morning was staring me in the face, and I dreaded going back to Florida.

He lay behind me. I felt every inch. The sound of our tongues dancing filled the room. My body shuddered, “Oh my God, Antoine,” I uttered sweetly. This was it. The last encounter before I’d see him again in a month.

I felt him unloading. We hummed and giggled at once. His swollen cock slid out. He looked at me. His hand caressed my left tit, “I’m going to miss your crazy ass.”

I laughed, “Yeah. This was fun.” Why couldn’t get this version of you when we were together? danced in my mind.

We kissed, then it was time to pack up and head to our lives. Him with his wife and kid and me with my plants.

****

When the photos from the shoot in Boston went live, my phone blew up with work. I was at the gym speaking to the club manager when Sean called, “Hey gorgeous.”

I excused myself from the conversation with my manager to speak with Sean. He had great news about a shoot that would take us to a fashion show in London. I nearly burst into confetti.

“So, babe, we will see you at the end of the month for our meeting. We’ll go over the details for London when you get here.”

“Okay.”

“See you soon.”

Katia walked over, “Are you leaving the gym?” she asked with concern. I found it odd because I had been trying to call her and Gio since I returned from Alabama.

“Just for a little while. I have a lot of opportunities coming in.”

She scoffed, “So just like that. You leave without saying anything?”

My eyes widened, “I’ve been trying to call you for a week. And every time I’ve seen you here at the gym…it’s like I look up and you’ve vanished. Gio—”

She huffed, “Gio what? Doesn’t stop by just to randomly fuck you anymore?”

My arms folded, “Look, I tried to stay out of your relationship. You brought me back in because you wanted to try something different in Cabo. You knew it was dangerous. And now you’re giving me shit.”

Her eyes watered, “I did something stupid.”

“Like?”

“Not here…let’s go to your car.”

We walked swiftly. I opened the trunk of my mid-sized SUV and placed the gym bag inside. The trunk shut. “Okay?”

She gulped, “I followed Gio the day you were leaving for Boston. Part of me wanted to believe that he was going to work like he said but there he was at your doorstep. And you just…you let him in.”

“I’m sorry. I thought we all had an understanding.”

Snot bubbled from her nose. I went into the car, grabbed some napkins, and handed her some, “Take this.”

She blew her nose and inhaled, “We are newlyweds. I hoped once we were married that I would be his main desire. Gio fucking wants you. That kills me. I won’t lie. So, I went to the bar. The same one we found Gio in that night. Two guys were having a good time. They were so handsome. I just wanted to feel desired. They flirted with me and before I knew it…I was in their hotel room. They held me up and stuffed my front and back. It was amazing. Just like I remembered it in Cabo. And I felt that the entire time Gio visited you and Carlo in New York City. I had something that was all mine.”

“Are you mad at me? Do you want to terminate our friendship? Because just say that.”

She fell into my arms, “No. I love you. You’re like my sister.”

“I love you too.”

Our eyes connected, “I told Gio.”

My eyes popped.

“He was upset. But then he confessed about the woman in New York, Elaina. We made a promise to focus on each other for a while. We want it to work. We’re trying to get pregnant. I guess I was afraid you’d take it the wrong way.”

“I am happy for both of you. I’m never going to take you and your husband working on your marriage the wrong way. Okay. I will give you the space you need to figure things out.”

“Thank you. I’m going to miss you.”

“I am not going anywhere.”

“You say that now. I saw the pictures. They’ve been shared almost one million times. You have something special Jade and I don’t just mean modeling.”

I hugged her tightly, “Don’t think you’re getting rid of me forever. I call first dibs on Godmother. And we take that very seriously in New Orleans. So.”

She chuckled, “Of course my friend.”

*****

Another flight. I sat in first class with thoughts dancing in my mind. I knew crossing those already blurred lines could potentially cause an avalanche.

Gio told me the only reason he slept with Elaina that night was because he saw me having so much fun with Carlo and Marco. It felt good to clear the air but it did sting which meant it was time for him and I to put some space between us.

I decided to spend a week in Boston. Sean found me a few jobs there. Then I would go to New York for more work. I’d get to spend time with Carlo and Marco for a week.

The cool beats played in my ears as I sat back. In one hour, the plane would land and I’d be up to my shenanigans once again… catching flights…not feelings.
