Chapter 12 by takacube takacube

What's next?

Can you be a Valley Girl?

To say that your morning was a bit surreal would have been an understatement.

The drive to the school had been practiced before so you had little trouble in getting the car to the correct place and you had even managed to find a parking spot where you believed that you would normally park (the placard on the dash matched the lot number). With a deep breath, you got out of the car and picked up your bag, feeling more than a bit nervous at the sight of unfamiliar faces looking at you (especially quite a few guys) but all you did was just smile and wave at a few people who waved at you in the hallway.

"Hey girl, heard what happened to your cousin and aunt," said someone from behind and you looked back as another blonde girl, Tiffany (from the phone and IG), whispered as she came next to you and opened her locker. "Did you want me to take some additional notes for you?"

You just shook your head and sighed. "Might as well get back into things. I didn't really...know Tim all that well," you muttered, still finding it strange to refer to yourself in the third-person. Whatever strangeness or awkwardness in your tone, though, was probably chalked up to having lost a family member to your friend who nodded in sympathy and helped you grab the necessary books for first and second period.

"Speaking of things, I heard that..." she began and the two of you walked in the hallway, she was doing more of the gossiping while you just walked alongside, listening, interjecting a few random statements to let her know you were listening, and your eye caught a reflection in one of the mirrors placed up on the ceiling. For all purposes, you were now a blonde girl walking with another blonde girl in the hallways of a (rather nice) high school. No one could tell the difference before, not unless you made a mistake.

****

Mistakes aren't always easy to find, are they? You pondered that as you walked into the bathroom and looked at your reflection. Chemistry had been your second period and you were partnered with a guy who, from your social media reviews the night before, had something of an issue with your best friend, another blonde girl named Hailey. Apparently, the two of them had gone all the way only for him to cum prematurely and splattered his jizz all over Hailey's new dress (a designer one too, apparently worth upwards of $3 grand.) That would suck for most people.

Hailey, though, had gone apoplectic on the guy and upbraided him to no end on social media. You were sure that he had you tainted by association but then again, you also knew that Kayleigh tended to be easy going and not as concerned with such issues as before.

Which didn't really explain why you were now covered, from waist on down, with chemicals.

When word reached Hailey that you had been the victim of her (soon to be ex) boyfriend's "accident" in Chem, she had immediately beelined over to the bathroom and came in just as you had set your bag on the counter and looked at yourself, dripping all sorts of fluids that had stained your clothes. The two of you tried to clean it up as best as you could, joined moments later by Tiffany and yet another girl who seemed like the final member of the blonde brigade, a girl named Marie, who opened her gym bag and took out a pair of yoga pants and a comfy shirt. "Here, I managed to grab this from your locker in Gym when I heard."

"Shit, I liked that dress on you," Tiffany sighed as she carefully took the clothes from your hands and placed it in the garbage bag.

"Heard it was Taylor who did that. Damn fucking prick..."

You smiled a bit and placed on the shirt and yoga pants, pausing to adjust your hair in the mirror. "It happens."

"Well, meet me at your car in 10, we'll go get this squared away."

You looked back at her. "Um..class?"

Hailey laughed and shook her head. "You must've breathed in some of those fumes. Daddy's already cleared you to go get some new clothes. Plus, he'll have a talk with Taylor later on about chemical safety. I'm sure Ms. Baker will do the same."

Never thought I'd get out of school by shopping...
