Camilla and Kara: Couple's Moving Day

"You have...weird traditions where you come from. Very predatory, too." Camilla adjusts her grip on Kara's folded clothes.

"I can't say you're wrong, but Mother is very conservative." Kara hefts up her futon. "On the bright side, with you moving too, we'll be living together." She smiles.

The brunette chuckles. "You're not wrong. Not how I imagined it going, though."

"Tell me about it." Kara giggles along.

The pair approach the back door of their new, shared home, and Camilla stops short of the door. "Are you sure you're o-"

"Yes. I'm not going to be upset with you being with both of us. It's not common with humans, but demons having multiple partners is completely normal. Mother had four before coming here." The kitsune looks her lover in the eyes. "I promise. You've made it very clear this week that I don't have anything to worry about." She gets up on her toes and kisses Camilla's cheek.

The human gives a soft smile. "If you say so." She opens the door, only to be surprised when the very Hornet Empress Dusk had defeated a week ago was lying asleep on her bed.

"Excuse me, Captain." Their gazes are drawn to the unnaturally pale, raven-haired woman on the other side of the room. Even in the dim light of the moon through an open window, it's clear she's not human. "And I presume you are Kara. We haven't had much time to introduce ourselves, but I'm Lieutenant Belinda." She gives a salute, a flat, face-down palm across her chest. "Captain, may we speak outside, so as not to disturb Sir Dusk?"

Camilla sets down Kara's clothes and some other trinkets on the dresser she had moved in from her own home. "At ease, Lieutenant. Kara, why don't you get settled in?" She reopens the door for the undead to exit through, and the pair walk away from the house a few dozen feet, the moonlight revealing a glisten to the lieutenant's torso and limbs. "What'd you want to speak about, Belinda?"

"Sir Dusk has spoken highly of you, and I thought I'd introduce myself properly. I assume he's spoken to you about a quest he received last night, and the oath that's required?"

The captain hesitates, but nods. "What's this about an oath?"

"He told me all the members needed to swear an oath to Ramel. I assumed that would include you and Eve, based on how he spoke of you."

Camilla feels a bit warm in her cheeks as she rubs the bridge of her nose. "He never told either of us anything about an oath." She sighs. "I can discuss it with him in the morning."

"All due respect, Captain, but he seemed to be in a hurry to complete this quest. If you would like, I can administer the oath to you and Eve."

Camilla sighs again. Why couldn't he have just told us the entire quest from the start? Something doesn't really feel right here... "Fine. What do I need to say?"

Camilla didn't feel any different after swearing the oath, and was honestly a bit disappointed. The gods demand this of us and don't even show anything for it? At least with what the oath is, it can't be a trap. "Thank you, Belinda. You're dismissed."

"All due respect, Captain, if it's alright with you, I'd like to administer the oath to Eve as well."

"If you insist. She should be coming this way, too. Goodnight, Lieutenant."

"Goodnight, Captain."

The brunette walks back into the house, finding the Empress surprisingly up and awake, glaring at Kara with her arms crossed, and Kara making the bed. "Almost ready, Cammy."

Camilla purses her lips. I can't tell if I'm proud of her for waking the Empress or not... While thinking, she spots Dusk sleeping against the side of the bed, opposite her. "[D] Take the bed if you want. [H] Kara, I appreciate it, but I'm fine with the floor tonight."

"Oh, alright then. Would you like my futon or-"

"Kara, you can take the futon..." She walks up and hugs the kitsune, staring into the kitsune's blue eyes. "Or, you could join me and Dusk."

"Ooorr, we could all share the futon. You lift him up and I slide it under him."

The brunette giggles and kisses her lover on the nose. "Let's do it." The pair do just that, and quickly settle down on the futon next to the nephilim, with Camilla in between the other two as they now completely ignore the Hornet Empress. "Kara..." Camilla wraps Kara in a side hug as she leans against Dusk. "I must be the luckiest woman in the world right now."

The blond giggles. "Just make sure you don't forget it." She pecks the human on the cheek before snuggling up against her, the pair drifting into dreamland...
