Call for help!

Alright, fuck this. I'm not about to get savescummed by some femboy cat monster. I pull out the flare gun Deryl gave each of us and aim it to the sky. It hesitates as I pull it out, and the quick burst of energy shocks it...and me.

Rather than launch some canister filled with chemicals, an absurd sphere of flames rockets into the air with a piercing screech. It burns through the canopy, and lights up the sky. My enemy is stunned, so I use the opportunity to armor up further. I feel Alice's power from the cave and get ready for round...4? 5? 6?

This thing is weaker than Alice, so she should fine to join in. I figure she might have a better idea than just killing it, and if not, a 2 vs 1 should be enough to get this monster to back down.

It takes two loops before Alice shows up, confirming that whatever this monster is doing, it's not reaching beyond the forest. She arrives at the start of the newest loop, and I move to explain the situation to her. The monster pauses at her arrival, and actually jumps back, but Alice doesn't wait for me to talk or it to think. She holds up her fist and the cat is pulled from the air towards her. The look of panic in its eyes is quickly replaced by one of determination. It readies a claw to swipe at her, and from experience, I know it's going to try to do one of its time jumps to counter her.

So I don't let it. A tendril shoots from my wrist, before erupting into a mess and wrap of thorns. It skips ahead one second, just in time to find itself inside my trap. By the time it realizes what's going on, Alice reacts to the sudden change, and brings her fist together. A graviton bomb goes off in the thing's face, blowing it and my spiny trap into the beast it had hunted earlier. It lets out a howl of pain, as it struggles against its bindings. By the time it comes to its senses, and uses its claws to cut its way out, it's too late. I'm on it with a heavy blow to finish it off...then I see its eyes shift from gold to...
