Buddy gets the message

Denise stood there perplexed, staring down at the business card Carl Werne gave to her. How am I supposed to give this to him now? Denise thought. Since Benjamin dashed off and he hasn't returned to work for some unknown reason she had no idea how to pass it on to him. Fortunately, a tap on her shoulder provided an answer, "Excuse me, you see some naked guy walk by here? I'm a friend of his and we got separated when he got swarmed back there..."

"Buddy?" Denise recognized the voice and face of the boy who came to see Benjamin at Anthony's Pizza and Wings all the time. Buddy used to be stuck to Benjamin like glue, always so fascinated with whatever crazy thing he did next. So Denise almost wasn't surprised to see him at a time like this.

"Oh, hey! Your Denise right? You used to work with Ben? So great to see you." Buddy gave her a winning smile.

"Great to see you too Buddy, I don't suppose you can explain to me what the hell just happened here? I mean, Benjamin was completely..."

"Yeah! Funny right? He used to be all too cool for anyone and on top of the world and everything. Now he has gotten a lot nicer towards people since his change in wardrobe. Kind of like, he's letting everyone else take the lead because he gets all embarrassed you know?"

Denise shrugged, "I guess."

"Anyway, I''d love to catch up Denise but I don't want to miss anymore of the show. You know where he went?"

"Yes, he dove behind those hedges across the street."

"Ah ha! Of course, he must be heading back to his apartment. I can't believe I never thought to visit him there before all this time. Ah well, I was busy with school..."

Denise waved the card before Buddy, "If you know where he is headed, can you give this to him? Some guy named Carl Werne gave it to me and he said he is interested in giving Benjamin a job."

Buddy took the card and gave it a look, "Shimmer Entertainment? I know these guys! Man, Ben is so lucky. Landing a job like this without even trying. Hell's yeah I'll make sure he gets this Denise." Buddy stuffed the card in his pocket.

"Thanks Buddy, I'm not totally sure what's going on but maybe I could get an explanation later?"

Before Buddy could answer, her friend Kaitlyn finally managed to push her way through the crowd. "There you are! Thank God! I thought you were going to be the second person to lose their shirt today." Kaitlyn gave Denise a hug, relieved to see her friend well after getting separated by those crowd of voyeurs.

"I'm alright Katy. Anyway, have you met Buddy here? He is one of Benjamin's friends."

Kaitlyn looked towards buddy with interest, "Hey Buddy, I'm Kaitlyn. I think I remember seeing you before. Was it school? Or maybe Denise's workplace?"

Buddy just nodded quietly for some reason then turned to Denise, "Um...a-anyway...I've got to go find Benjamin. See ya." Just like that, Buddy was gone.

"That was weird. Will we see them again?"

Denise thought wistfully about Benjamin's blushing face when she saw him naked on the street, "I certainly hope so..."

I had to use both my hands to part the hedges so I could jump through to the other side into the park. I still gripped Brittany's cellphone box as I emerged from the hedges. I thought I could finally catch a breath leaving the laughter and my onlookers behind. I allowed myself to smile for a moment taking relief in knowing no one could see me anymore. As I looked up into the bright and sunny park around me, I realized I couldn't have been more wrong. Since my time in C. J. 's Gadget Emporium and being groped on the street, it would appear that dozens of families and random people had gathered in the park to set up picnics, play catch, and walk their dogs. There was actually a lot more people here now than there was back on the street. Surprised to see so many people, I had to take a moment to take this in as they all took in the sight of me. There was at least four blankets laying not ten feet from me filled with couples and families who were currently staring at the naked guy who interrupted their day by suddenly bursting out of the hedges. I looked down at myself and noticed I forgot to cover up. Face turning brick red, I used Brittany's cellphone box to cover up my dick as best I could as I ran past the wide-eyed individuals in the park. "S-Sorry everyone!" I don't know why I said that. Shouting so loudly like that only brought more attention to me as I streaked through yet another crowd of people who were whistling and pointing at me. Some people dropped their food in surprise as I ran by, some people pulled out their cellphones, others had to hold back their dogs as they caught wind of me, the rest were just plain distracted by my nudity as I ran by causing minor accidents. Me? I couldn't afford to do anything about it because I just wanted to make it home without anymore bystanders seeing me naked. This is so embarrassing!
