Brushing aside the bubbles has worked so far - you decide to try it on the door.

You begin waving away the bubbles that surround the door, starting with the ones on the outside and working your way in. Managing so many bubbles at once makes the task much harder than you were expecting, especially since you have to be careful not to touch them by accident. Because you're focused so much on keeping the bubbles away from you, you don't notice them start to drift towards each other...

Two of the bubbles brush against each other, and quickly merge into a single, larger ball of energy. The bubble's rapid growth makes it touch another, and another... by the time you've noticed what is happening, the bubble is twice the size of your head and still expanding rapidly! You step back into the hall to try and evade its unchecked growth, but you're too late - the bubble's expansion increases explosively and swells to fill the entire hallway, engulfing you in the process!
