So, it’s Samhain once again. Once more, I get a chance. 5 years ago, I fell in love with Maire. She is so pretty and funny, not to mention how cute she is. She was only 15 back then and I was but 17, so I didn’t quite know how to court a girl. I tried giving her flowers, or inviting her to a picnic. But none of it seemed to work. If anything, she just started teasing me more. I mean, I appreciate the attention she’s giving me. But I would much prefer to be romantic with her. Eventually, when I became 18 and it was time for me to start apprenticing, I decided to apprentice under her father, the village hunter. That way, at least I’d always have an excuse to come over to her house and spend more time with her. Yet, I still couldn’t get her to start crushing on me. But she was only 16 then. Maybe she was just too young to be interested in guys or romance. So instead of ruining what we have by forcing it, I decided to bide my time and be patient with her.

There were 2 years in which I could participate in Samhain before Maire was old enough. Part of me told me I should save myself for her, but then I feared that when the time eventually came, I would mess it up and give her some bad sex. That is why I decided to participate. I wanted to get experience for her.

The first year, I ended up catching Riannon, the shepherd’s daughter. She was a good girl for my first time. She is only one year older than me, and doesn’t have too much experience herself. I was even ready to leave my seed inside her. If then she had my Samhain child, we would be married, just like I had been dreaming of. Instead … I ended up catching Mearna by mistake. In my defense it was a very cloudy night, so it was hard to tell who I was chasing. Perhaps it was also a blessing in disguise. Not being able to see her face made it a lot easier for me to pretend I was fucking Maire instead. Mearna even asked which girl I would have preferred to catch. That brings us to last year, where I again failed to capture Maire. I later learned that she strayed from the path to the left side and I was on the right. So, there was no chance for me to catch her. Instead, I ended up catching Riannon for a second time. That was quite a coincidence. The same people getting together during different Samhains is not something that happens a lot. Riannon even asked if maybe that was a sign from the ancestors that we were meant to be together. But I told her about my feelings for Maire and how my heart belongs to her and her alone. Riannon understood and then suggested that when I eventually catch Maire, I would need all the experience I can get. Resulting in her choosing to give me some practice. The sex I had with Riannon then was a lot spicier than first time around. She had apparently gotten some practice herself in the last two years.

That of course will happen if she strays on my side of the path. If she strays on the other side, I will have to rush along the path to where the bridge is. Swim underneath the bridge the girls use, and double back to catch Maire that way. And if I can’t catch her again this year … well, I prefer not to think about that.
