Breeding and order

The next few days were quite similar: A group of goblins was sent out to look for food while the females took care of the slaves and the maintenance of the cave. In the evening, the food was distributed to the slaves after their breeding session. Of course, only if they had behaved themselves. It was easier if the slaves cooperated. It was simply annoying to have to watch the slaves all the time and prevent them from escaping. So Kazex began to train the breeding stock.

The quantity and quality of the food was adapted to their behaviour. If a cattle did not cause any trouble during breeding, it received more and above all better meat from the animal killed during the hunt. If it did not behave, it got the leftovers.

Kazex also had the lower part of the cave rebuilt where the breeding cattle lived. A kind of stable was built, on the floor of which hay, leaves and fur were laid out. Individual cages were built in this way. There were larger ones with more space, with sheep falls on the floor, in which one could even stand. Others were so small that you could hardly turn around in them and the floor was as hard as stone (in these cases it was literally stone). Which one got also depended on the behaviour of the broodmares.

With this system developed by Kazex, which rewarded good behaviour and punished bad, he was soon able to bring order to the previously wild society inside the cave.

The breeding stock soon realised that it was impossible to escape from the cave. Even the female goblins had enormous strength and teeth that should not be underestimated. After the construction of the cages, escape was no longer possible anyway. So they resigned themselves to their fate of being bred and giving birth to goblins for the rest of their lives. What they cared about now was making their lives as comfortable as possible. Each of them tried as best they could to submit to Kazex's system and be rewarded accordingly. If I can't get out of here, why not be comfortable, well fed and have plenty of space?

From now on, the slaves lived according to this motto in the depths of the caves, which was not to remain without consequences for long.
