Body Man

Mark, the body man, came to Elizabeth's door just after Abe had left from a several day visit.

"Miss Castle?" he asked.

"What is it ... Mark?" Elizabeth asked. She knew he worked for her husband, but not much about him.

"Officer Burns, actually," Mark said, flashing his badge. "We've been investigating your husband for awhile, but we haven't been able to make much headway, and if we don't get some breakthrough soon, we're going to have to drop it. I hate going overt like this, but I don't see any possibilities. I don't know the arrangement you and your husband have. But I do know your dad was right in getting him locked up. And I know you know there is something fishy with Whitetail and now Whaletail. He keeps things so tight, I can't figure it out but .... do this, for the people of the State. For your dad if that's what it takes, but please help us." He left her his card, with his number on the back.
