Chapter 2

First, who are you?
Ben Tennyson but without any aliens or superpowers

One day an 18-year-old Ben was looking through some of the random things he's collected over the years and stuffed inside his closet, as the only things he can really do these days are either go through all the hidden crap hidden in the house or play Sumo Slammers Online.
"Stupid hero complex! How could I ever think the rival baseball team were robots!? I mean, yes, they were all way too skilled to be playing high school baseball, but I should have known they were just no-lifers with the game, as they never wore anything but their uniforms!"
Ben angrily thought to himself before he stubbed his toe on a random box that he remembers shouldn't have anything nearly that hard stored inside it, as the box was supposed to be filled with nothing more than some Sumo Slammer cards.
Forcing the box open, Ben wondered why it seemed a lot harder than he thought, almost like it was sealed with years of dust or magic. Which should not be the case as he just placed the damn thing down and knew for a fact what was supposed to be inside it.
Finally cracking the box open, Ben found a toy alien blaster that he has no memory of ever getting. Even stranger was how the heck did this thing even manage to get inside the box as it was packed to the brim with all his card decks?
"What the heck is this?" Ben said before shrugging and gently placing the thing on his bed as he put all his stuff back inside his closet.
"Hey dweeb. You okay in here?" Gwen said with a smugness in her voice that Ben has gotten way too accustomed to ever since the incident **** him inside his home with the only new face being Gwen's weekly visits.

"Just going through my things like I do every Saturday. Tomorrow I'm going to once again look around the house for things that I haven't found or most likely just sort through things." Ben said with annoyance as his cousin just barged into his room like she owned the place.
Honestly, sometimes Ben wonders what life would have been like if they had never gone on that summer trip that, as boring as it was, still had some interesting things, like Ben winning a music player by guessing the right amount of jelly beans.
"Why are you here? Did Kevin dump you again?" Ben said with a snide grin as Gwen slapped Ben upside the head and zeroed in on the toy gun on his bed and went to grab it but was stopped by Ben grabbing it first.
"What the heck is that?" Gwen asked as calmly as she could as she seemed to be holding back her own hand and anger for some reason.
"Don't know. But as we both have nothing better to do, could you help me clean up?" Ben said as calmly as he could and then clapped his hands together. "Please! I'll help you find your old computer password!"
Gwen pretended to think about it for a bit but quickly just flat-out rejected him, as while she did want her old laptop, she didn't really want it bad enough to help clean up Ben's room, as he had basically torn everything apart out of boredom.
But she does take a quick moment to rub Ben's faults in his face as she pulls out the article about the worst moment of his life that he just wanted to forget all about as he just wanted to be a hero but quickly became a zero in the eyes of the city.
"You know most people would help their poor cousin forget all about their worst moment in life!" Ben said with annoyance as he stomped his feet as he stood up and gripped the alien blaster as hard as he could like it was an actual gun.
"Yeah. But I mean, trying to pull off an entire baseball team's faces and practically assaulting their team's mascot!" Gwen said while obviously trying her hardest to hold back her laughter to the point she was literally sweating!
Ben just rolled his eyes in annoyance over this, but just as he was about to do something he might have regretted, he spotted a picture of them and Grandpa Max during one of their stops on their summer trip and calmed down right away.
"Look, I just need you to help me clean my room up, and when this is all done, I promise to help you out with anything along with making you something to eat." Ben said with great hope, as he knew this was going to take all day, and he just remembered he promised to help out his online guild.
Gwen grunted but agreed with the promise that she'd get the toy gun from him, which Ben for some reason sensed that if he agreed to this, then it would be the worst thing he could probably do.
"Um… anything else?" Ben wondered as he asked Gwen, who just shook her head as annoyed as she possibly could while Ben just grunted and wondered what the heck he was going to do, as he needed to help his group, but if he didn't give this worthless-looking toy to her. He was going to miss the entire guild event he needed to join, or else he was going to be shamed by his entire guild for an entire week along with missing some rare resources.
Gwen seemed to have lost her reasoning or something as she just suddenly charged at Ben, who, on instinct, pulled out the toy gun like it was an actual gun, and for some reason Gwen seemed more scared of this than anything else.
"What the heck are you doing!?" Gwen screamed as she held her hands up and tried to inch closer to grab the toy gun from her cousin.
Upon seeing the look of fear on his cousin's face, something in him seemed to snap as he pointed the toy gun at her like he was going to shoot her, but it was all supposed to be just fun and games as he just wanted to mess with her a bit.
However, Gwen seemed to lose her mind and charged at Ben, who, out of fear and instinct, pulled the trigger as Gwen tried to **** it out of his hand, and the only question going through Ben's mind was why she was so freaked out and **** to get this toy gun from him.
Next thing Ben knew, everything flashed green for what felt like hours on end, as for the first time ever, Ben felt motion sickness as everything around him started to contort, swirl, and shift all around him all at the same time, and when everything finally stopped, Ben kept his eyes closed till he heard something strange.
"Are you okay master?"
