Ben Tennyson ( Ben 10)

(All characters have been aged up to be at least eighteen)

Ben was sitting in his room, he was messing around with something he bought in under town. It was simple hand held device. It was shape like a sphere with one half made of green glass and the other metal. When he held it out, the glass side project a swirling green and black vortex. He thought it was cool and was just messing around with it.

It been very peaceful lately, so there wasn't much he need to do. Most males his age would be out with a girlfriend, sadly Ben haves a terrible love life.

"Why can I get a girlfriend." Said Ben, as he leaned back in a chair. He swirling the chair around, still playing with the device.

He just happened to stop and project a swirling vortex as his mother entered his room. Instantly Sandra's eyes fell onto the vortex. She couldn't take her eyes off it as the swirling colors where so mesmerizing. Soon she fell into a deep trance.

"Mom, sorry." Said Ben, as he turned the device off. He puzzled as his mother was just standing there. Ben got up and walked up to his mother. At first he didn't notice anything wrong. Then he focused on her eyes. They where eeriely blank, like she under a trance. He waved his hand over her face but she didn't react.

It took Ben a few moments to wondered, was his mother under a trance. He looked at the device and got curious. He smiled, as if it true. Then he could have some fun. Nothing to wrong, at least that what he told himself. So after a minute he decided to test it out.
