Belial, The Baddest Butt There Is

"Oh yeah baby, lets get this party started." It was a little tomboyish in some regards. It reminded her of one of the cartoons the children watched. The voice echoed in Eve's mind while she drifted off. When she came to, she saw her fellow nuns gaze down onto her. Thalia, the youngest, seemed to be the most worried. Kelly and Ester kept their emotions in check.

They helped their colleague to her feet, who appeared quite frazzled from her fall. Her head swarm with images, of slugs and cows and other lazy beasts. Eve found her feet soon enough. She waved them away while she glided towards a bench. The other three crowded around her.

"Eve, are you well?" Ester produced a bottle of water for her to drink, to which Eve did so graciously. The patted her shoulders to help ease her body. The women waited in rapt attention while Eve found her words.

"Yes, I believe I am. What happened to me, though?"

"You just disappeared from Beckham's view. We found you sprawled over here, Eve." Kelly spoke up. The African-American woman looked around to see where she was at. She was near the eastside of the church, the building's shadow covered the group. Briefly, while in the shadows, Eve saw a face grinning back at her.

Fear coursed through her body and the woman's spine tingled. When she looked again, nobody was there. She held a Thalia's hand for comfort. A soft laugh echoed in Eve's ears.
