Beginners Grind

Clarie's words created a feeling  you weren't familiar with.  It gave you smile and a warm felling spread across your body. Before you think about is you find yourself grabbling Claire and kissing her. It was the ONLY response you knew. She felt surprised but welcomed and began moaning into your mouth before you broke contact. There was brief pause as you looked at each other.  "I thought briefly I was going to apologize but ..  no it seems?" " No I was just really surprised " she scrunched her face as if  trying to squeeze a answer from her face " Like your a really good kisser like ...  REALLY good kisser  but ... that was not a response I'd expect from a person  .. makes me wonder some things." You shrugged not really having a answer that could be said. 

After a several second pause from Claire " Anyway what's the short term plan Drake?" You considered for a second , the needs of the present with the suddenly rather unpredictable if potentially promising future looming on you. "As much as I really want to start recruiting .. we shouldn't go far. But I think if we stick not to far from the entrance we should see people if they approach the door. So I think gather some resources plus do some hunting". Your entrance is only mid way up the mountain so the both of you work your way down and predictably find some stone nodes.
You jokingly go to punch it and as you make contact you see a progress bar slightly filled in. Looking in detail your stats are helping you out but you should really get some tools. You sigh as you resign you self to diligently punching some rocks for a few hours as Claire wordlessly shrugs and starts working on her own.
Several hours of rock punching later you and Claire have cleared a decent amount of nodes. As you finish your most recent rock node you look up to try to judge what time it is as you hear pebbles shift and you barely see a large black tongue lash out at you. You duck and jump back. Ingeleon lizards, apparently that one is lvl 3 , as are three others but there is one lvl 5 one in the back. You almost jump and start gliding before you remember Claire.
You can only scream "FUCK" as instead of guiding off like a smart person that desires life, you charge the nearest one igniting your sword. Dodging another tongue strike and stabbing it in the throat. No pauses, all movement, any hesitation and this going to end very badly very quickly and painfully, you run up ,dodge another tongue as you hear Claire casting a spell on you another tongue near bounces off you failing to get a grip as symbols begin to surround you. The three furthest away are now close together and you gather your mana and unleash your burning hands spell successfully burning them and follow it up with your breath weapon finishing two of them off and burning the one remaining as you charge it and stab it through the head. You hear a small explosion as Claire finishes the one that had gathered behind you with a largish white magical projectile leaving the remaining level five who is charging you rapidly looking especially angry as it jumps at you. You mange to avoid the most of the bite , instead of a full clamp it manages to slice the part of the shoulder near your neck and send you both tumbling down hill for a bit before you both crash into a stone node. There is a large very painful crunch as your left winglet and its jaw crash into the base.

You scream out in pain as the majority of the winglet bones on that side break. The Ingeleon attempts to bite your crippled wing but possibly due to jaw damage while it does manage to puncture it doesn't quite get a clamp down. You manage to immediately retaliate your first blazing with fire as your cantrip burns you, you punch it right in the fast sending it a meter away. Filled with rage and a primal kind of fury you draw your your dagger it lighting up and in a sacrifice play, as it bites up going for your throat , you block it on your left forearm, while its jaw is clamped down , which almost breaks it, you stab down with your right down through the skull finishing it as you scream with rage and pain.
