Be Persuasive

Upon reaching the bar, you lean in close to the Tavernkeep. He's using a rag to dry glasses and looks at you, “Made a new friend?”

“Yeah something like that…”

The Tavernkeep picks up another glass, “Baptiste is quite the popular guy for hire around these parts.”

“Listen, I NEED to hire that mercenary to help me in a very important royal matter. I need a round given to the entire tavern. What can I do for you to make that happen?”

The Tavernkeep puts the glass down, “That'd put me out at least 2 barrels of rum! You best be paying up for it.”

You smile, “What if I told you I could make your drinks sell like hot cakes and become irresistible no matter who or how picky they were?”

He shakes his head, “I ain't trying to deal with no dark magic though don't want none of that around here.”

You continue your pitch, “No-no, no dark magic. It's purely natural, all homemade, sublime honey, and I'm willing to give you some… just for this itty bitty favor. Have you had any of the baker's honey buns recently?”

The Tavernkeep perks up, “By the gods my clients won't shut the hell up about it. I've tried to get one, but with the long line, when it's my turn it's already sold out for the day!” He grumbles.

Now you got him now, “What if I told you I was the one who supplies the honey to the Baker? And I'm willing to make the same deal with you~? We can even make this a test run!”

The Tavernkeep raises an eyebrow, “How so?”

“We infuse the honey into those barrels, you'll make back a profit today I guarantee after everyone gets a taste. And… I can let you finally get a taste of the honey firsthand. Doesn't that sound fair?”

The Tavernkeeper cusses a bit under his breath but smiles, “Well kid you make a good deal let's shake on it.” The two of you shake hands. “So when will you get the honey here?”

You look both ways, “I already have it with me. I brought a supply with me, it's out back. I always keep my supply handy.”

“Need help bringing it in?”

You smile and walk your fingers upon the bar counter, “I'd greatly appreciate the help of a strong man such as yourself. It'd be much appreciated.” The two of you head on back behind the tavern now it's your moment to help the tavern keep see how you make Honey.
