Bard: Some simple diplomacy

BARD: "You know what, everyone? I have a different approach in mind. Instead of stealing the barmaid's underwear, I think I can charm her into willingly handing it over. Watch and learn, my friends."

SORCERER: "You intend to use a charm spell?"

The BARD scoffs: "Oh, my dear Sorcerer, I have no need for magic to accomplish this task. Allow me to demonstrate the power of simple persuasion."

ROGUE: >sigh< "Here we go."

BARD: I get up from the table and confidently walk up to the barmaid with a charming smile on my face, and then lean against the counter and initiate a conversation. After a little bit of chitchat I drop my voice a little and go: "You know, I've been admiring your fashion sense all night. It's quite impressive. But I'm feeling adventurous tonight. How about we increase the stakes of your challenge with a cheeky little dare? If I can guess the color of your underwear correctly, I get to keep them."

DM: Very daring indeed... roll a persuasion check.

BARD: That's my jam. >Diceroll< See, 27.

DM, chuckling to themselves: I don't know why I even bother asking you to roll anymore. The barmaid raises an eyebrow and playfully looks you up and down, her mischievous smile matching your own. Clearly the idea has aroused her interest... and perhaps more besides. "Oh, really? So, you're interested in my underwear, are you? Well, if that's the case, then I think it's only fair that I have a little fun too. If you're wrong with your guess, I get to have my pick of your underwear. A fair trade, wouldn't you say?"

BARD: ”You drive a hard bargain, but I accept your terms. Shall we take this little game to the back, away from prying eyes? We wouldn't want to give away all our secrets to the entire establishment.”

DM: The barmaid nods in agreement and she leads the way to the back room. Inside the secluded room the atmosphere crackles with a combination of anticipation and playfulness, as you’re about to proceed with your flirtatious little game of wits.
