Barb

Jerry looks at Maddy. She is kissing a girl. Jerry doesn’t want to interrupt. She looks over at Sebastian. He just killed someone for her. As hot as she finds that, he can wait. She saunters toward Barb hoping she isn’t too worried.

“Sorry I bolted Barb. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dead person up close.”

“It’s a little gruesome. I’m surprised everyone just left her up there. Here take hit.”

Barb hands Jerry a nondescript vape. She gives it a tentative suck, uncertain exactly how. She hands it back to Barb, who gives it a puff. After a few minutes Jerry feels relaxed.

“Barb, can you control who you bring back from the dead?”

“Fuck, I’m a necromancer, I think so.”

“I have a cool idea.”

“Spill it.”

“Why don’t we bring Catherine back from the dead.”

“That has to be the stupidest, craziest idea I’ve ever heard. I love it.”

Barb hugs Jerry.

“The best part is if you fuck up, who cares.”

Barb laughs. “How do we get her down?”

“There’s a ladder over there. We just take her down. Nobody is even going to notice.”

Barb watches the crowd. Indeed most are too stoned or drunk to even see her.

“Ok let’s do this.”
