Largely ignored by the crowd, Jerry grabs a ladder and yanks on Catherine’s arms. Her hands come off the spikes with minimal difficulty. Her feet are hammered in better but between her yanking, Barb’s help, and the weight of the body they come loose.

As she wraps an arm around Catherine, she feels the tightness of her jaw. Rigor mortis has begun to set in. The cause of **** isn’t as clear, but the missing heart couldn’t have helped.

Barb wraps an arm around Catherine’s other side and they begin to walk. An intoxicated guy bumps into Catherine and says ‘hi’.

Jerry follows Barbs lead as they walk the corpse out of the party. After a short walk they end up in a small classroom. A black marble table sits in the center.

Barb motions at the table. “Put her there.”

Jerry puts her down.

“Position her in the center of the table.”

Jerry moves her and watches as Barb goes to work. She places five black candles around the body. She grabs a knife and begins to mumble in what sounds like Latin.

The candles ignite in three foot high flames before settling down to normal. The room begins to feel cold. In the dimly lighting Barb’s flesh looks almost as pale as Catherine’s.

Barb cuts her finger with the knife, allowing a drop of her blood to fall upon Catherine’s open chest. She begins to mumble again.

Jerry watches in amazement as Catherine’s pale flesh begins to knit itself closed. In minutes she looks like she could be alive. However, her chest is still.

Barb stops mumbling and looks tired. She stares at Catherine expectantly.

Suddenly, Catherine bolts upright. Her angry red eyes staring at Jerry.

Spittle flies from her long eye teeth as she yells. “You murdering cunt!”

She moves toward Jerry intent on ****. Jerry shivers, coming to the realization that this really might have been a bad idea.
