Randy, in his smoke form, and is far from the ground. Randy jump through a small, rotating black portal. The portal shoots him in through some kind of rainbow-colored channel, until it stops in a white room.
The room is full of nothing, all empty white space around him as far as he can see. He then begins to transform from his current smoke form to his normal human form, while a bright blue wisp descends from the sky.
"Welcome to the kernel, player!" The lock says. The voice seems to come out of nowhere, because the entity does not really have a physical body to emit any sound.
"Wait, kernel? What is it? Does it ... mean I'm dead?" Randy said. "I still have no idea what is going on and where it is now." He only sees a rooms like this in TV shows and cartoon series, kind of like that SpongeBob's future episode. The only difference is that it doesn't actually click badly on a time machine.
"I am a visual representation of that program responsible for your existence in this world. Answering your question, the core is, as simple as I can say, the deepest area of the operating system. You see, player, our program has brought your awareness into this application, and it also gave it's various powers to you while recording the content of the application. In this case, this application is what you call 'Mortal Kombat'. " The blue wisp explained.
"The reason they brought you here is a simple system defense mechanism, which tries to self-correct any system malfunctions away."
"So this blue thing is the game's antivirus?" Randy asks.
"The auto correct mechanism doesn't always involve virus software, but overall, you're right." The voice responded. "I am specifically created to help players overcome this mechanism."
Okay I understand that but what do I do if I want to leave the game asked Randy with a confused face on his face
Simple, you just have to imagine yourself outside and that's it, the voice answered at once.
