Author's Note

As far as I'm concerned, the "main" story here is done with Sarah and Amy reunited.

Thanks to those who made it this far, and especially those who followed me through as I was serializing this story day-by-day. Double-special thanks to those whose comments and thumbs-up on chapters really helped keep the motivation up to continue.

In my other story Just a Thought, I had started with a premise that was something like "what's the worst mind control power I can give the main character and still have some fun?" It became a harem story kind of by accident as I kept writing and enjoyed having the main character apply the mind control power in different ways. For this story, I started with "what's the most stupidly-easy I can make things for the main character but still get a story out of it?" I think it went well overall.

This story was always destined to end by resolving the rarely-mentioned background tension with the Sarah/Amy relationship, and having a "complete" harem including Amy. A few people mentioned Amy in comments and I ignored them: there was no way I could reply without risking giving away that final resolution. I assure you all that I read and appreciated your comments with a knowing smile.

What I hadn't expected was Vicky's fame as a plot driver. I remember deciding to make her first video go viral as an excuse to have a steady flow of interesting potential harem members. From there it felt totally out of my control: her making the whole group famous completely wrote itself. There were points I was struggling to keep Sarah as the main character and David's focus.

But the whole "we're famous" subplot is too much fun to leave alone... I have a couple of side side stories that explore Vicky's fame (and exploit it as a plot device).

On that subject, I have a few interesting (I think) side stories that I'll go back add, now that I feel like the main story is resolved. The characters have been too much fun to write to just leave it here. I'll try to get those posted soon.

Teasers: let's go to a WNBA game and meet some players; Grace was a nurse that treated David and he should back for a checkup; Vicky has this cute but weird fan Brooke; Vicky gets invited to a creator con and we can meet some fans.
