What's next?
At last, Martha...
Martha Weather quirks a dark eyebrow at the slip of paper William had just given her, Natasha looking over her toned shoulder with a sceptical look before wheeling on the tall, jacked asshole.
'So Sarah sent you to give this to us?'
'Coach Strider Natasha-' The towering bully chided, a shit eating grin on his face before continuing sent me to give it to Martha, you weren't mentioned at all. Ms Weathers being much more...athletically inclined than you.' He jibed, eyes flicking down to Natasha's large yet ungainly and unagile body.
Natasha coloured and drew herself up to snap back at the grinning bully before Martha cut in with a more adroit response,
'Eat shit Docherty, You'll get yours.'
And he would...
Once Principal Santiago used the evidence her and her two co-conspirators had gathered on him he would be out!
Wasn't she planning on doing that this morning?
Oh well, maybe she was waiting till the afternoon...
Then the sporty black woman turned sharply, dark ponytail snapping and strode away, a muleish looking Natasha following her.
As they strode through the halls of the campus, Martha had another look at the note Will had given her...
It looked legit yet Martha couldn't shake a ominious feeling in her gut.
"Martha,
Got a new gameplan to discuss with you. Also, Lisa has a new toy she wants to show you.
Sarah"
The handwriting was spot on, and the brusque yet familiar tone was just like her.
Martha had met Sarah's wife as well, as much as Sarah tried to maintain a professional relationship, teacher and student had a very close bond, nearly familial.
The fact she was mentioned also gabe credence that it wasn't just Will setting her up.
But why send Him?
As athletic as he was, there was a reason Coach Stride didn't even try to hide her distaste of William Docherty.
"He's a bully, a creep and a shit."
Sarah had said that in reaponse to one of her other students asking why the coach didn't try and recruit William.
Martha couldn't imagine a universe in where Sarah wouls trust William to make her a coffee, let alone delivier a meeting invitation...
She sighs and shoves the note into the pocket of her dark grey tracksuit pants and begins to walk towards the gym building.
'You're not actually going are you? This has to be some kind of set up!' Natasha exclaimed, aghast as she followed her sporty friend.
'It definitely came from Sarah and there's no way she'd have anything to do with Will-'
'-Then why send him to deliver the letter?' Natasha cut in,
Martha just shrugged, her voice tinged with exasperation, mainly to try and bury her own sense of unease.
'I don't know Nat, maybe she wa
'I don't know Nat, maybe she was busy and he was the closest person, maybe it was a punishment, I don't know!' She said, a little more waspishly than she wanted and she felt Natasha recoil slightly, hurt.
The ebony athlete grimaced, feeling guilty but mostly uneasy
This did feel fishy!
Martha sighed then stopped by the gym,
'Sorry. I didn't mean to snap...Tell you what...How about you hang back and keep an eye out for me, yeah?'
The gangly blond adjusted her glasses ans beamed, worry giving way to relief,
'Sure...Okay, I'll loop around the changing rooms and come in through that way. If I see anything I'll text!'
Martha smiled and have her freind a quick fistbump, glad to have her faithful friend watching her back.
What's next?
Rings of Confirmation
'Can't say no to that!'
With two rings, induce others to either affirm or negate whatever you ask while also magically making such values true. (Inspired by another story on some other place somewhere.)
