At Another World

A portal straight led us here, we could see the other side even before I stepped in the portal man. I looked around, it is a suburb alright. If I wasn’t told before, I would definitely think this is somewhere in America. This is still unbelievable. We are not anywhere near those suburbs though. I’m seeing it in a distance. I told Siri to teleport me to some where near Gehiirn but remote. As I have to learn how to cast illusion magic first for disguise. We are now standing on a hill top near the suburb, although I see not path leading up here, we are in a forest —— kind of.

“Melissa, now teach me Illusion magic please.” I requested, she standing at my left, Pigeon standing on my shoulder and Siri seemingly casted a invisibility magic on itself —— it is a floating blue ball after all.

“Yes sir, I’ll start with the basics.” Melissa relied. “First thing is that all rules of magic applies to all worlds, unlike physics, it is universal. Magic is an energy that can only be manipulated by signs within a soul. Our human, a being across all planes, the form of many outer-universe celestials, we are a reflection of the forms of said celestials, and so our soul is very complete. We innately have all signs, just some larger than others, consequently more powerful. And which is larger varies greatly. How attuned those signs are with our brains, specifically the cerebral cortex, depends our tune to magic, how much magic we can wield and sense. Certain people from my race have their cerebral cortex innately attuned, so they can utilise magic, while some others can’t, like your entire race sir, no disrespect meant.”

Continues Melissa: “To cast magic is to simply draw the powers of your signs by thinking, then paired with the specific runes, also materialised by you thinking of it, focusing, to appear. How strong the runes you make, aka, how strong is its effect, depends on the size of your corresponding signs. As of an invisibility spell, the simplest format is the rune of light beneath the rune of negativity on one ring centred around your occult symbol in the middle, your magical finger print. I’ll show you how those runes are drawn.” As she draws it with a stick on to the ground, she continues: “All you need to do is to think about it, try to draw them in your mind individually first, then draw them in this configuration.”

She says pointing at the ground, showing her drawing of the before mentioned format. “When you succeed at calling the magic energy, called mana, it still won’t take effect. You must make it materialise, try to picture it appearing behind your head. When it does, you have done it. By the way, this is a little advanced. But when you design a spell, all effects take the form of rings, and in rings, there are runes, the top one, the 12o’clock one, is the ‘base rune’ all other runes, will take effect on to that rune in clockwise fashion, those other runes are called ‘effectors’ and that make the effect of said ring. The effect of said ring will affect the centre rune, the subject. Physics apply to all effects. You can make a person disintegrate, but you can’t just have a rune of ‘disintegrate’ with the subject centred. The simplest format is: one ring, with the base rune of ‘matters’ and the effectors of ‘target-atom-individually’ and ‘****-push-strength:X’ X being the amount of **** exerted on each atoms, the larger, the more mana spent, the stronger the will power required. And of course with a subject in the centre.”

I certainly spent time just digest. That was a massive lore dump. Feels like you entered a new location in a DND session. “Melissa, that’s all great, I understand, but may I ask, how can I disguise myself? Or for now I’ll just be invisible? Also how strong are my magic tune? Alongside, do you need a new clothing?” I said looking at her wears, she is in her black robe shown when I was with Gulthuem still. It doesn’t blend well in Earth, if you somehow can’t figure that out.

“Sir, a disguise spell, I’m afraid will be to hard for now, sorry. As of your power, Gulthuem made you quite strong due to the requirements of your selections. You are attuned with all signs, triple the typical mindslavers —— the one like Gehiirn who doesn’t take any mind/magic intensive feats. About a tenth of my original. You can grow a sign by using more magic. Oh! I forgot to mention, as you get more familiar with a certain rune, it will become more and more easy for you to call(mentally draw) it, it will be remembered by you soul. That’s all. My dress will need to change, I see a shop down the road there.”
