Astral Projection

Jason remembered how in one cartoon he once saw, someone managed to pull their own spirit out of their own body by doing something called astral projection, it involved many things in that show but the key one he remembered was focusing on how you looked outside your body, it was easier to do when you imagined yourself having a view from up to down at your body.

Jason opened his eyes, and focused harder than before, a calm yet strong determination rushed him, he suddenly felt like his spirit form tried to go upwards, but the thread that connected him to his mother was like an anchor, binding him to the same altitude as her.

Jason kept his cool, he suddenly just accepted the problem but decided to not give up, and kept trying to float up, he could feel how the thread and something inexplicably heavy were starting to move bit by bit, every time moving more and more albeit resisting.

Suddenly, he started to slowly elevate, the thread had gone straight like a rod of steel and the other thing that felt heavy seemingly started to weight down less and less until it was as heavy as himself, he tried to go up fast but couldn't, then decided to try to go up, albeit slowly this time, it felt like progress.

Jason opened his view and suddenly, he could see the outline from his mom going up with him, he kept the same position albeit looking in a state of concentration and curiosity.

He then saw a figure popping out with him at the same slow speed, it was clear from the get go, Jason was slowly forcing his mother to astrally project herself, and she had not noticed.

Jason kept elevating their spirits closer to the ceiling, but weird thoughts came to him.

His mother's spirit was there with him, it looked just like his mother, naked obviously, but in the same ghostly blue hue as her “aura” that he had been used to see when meditating with her, she was also unresponsive but maintaining the same meditation position as her body.

Jason wasn't sure what to do came this point, the sudden thought of being unable to return her spirit to her body mad him lose focus and suddenly, the thread uniting him and her severed.

Her mother stayed there, but the blue hue that her body irradiated, banished.

Jason decided to take action, this astral stuff could have the potential to hurt her mother, if he didn't act quick this could even scar her, after all he was dead so no body to care for consequences but she was alive or had a body still.
