Ashley Makes Her Move

As Chloe was preoccupied with watching the pained Kurt, she didn't notice Ashley passing by, heading back to the camp. Ashley was in a panic, as she did not doubt that Chloe was going to spill everything to Zack and at the moment, she'd have the upper hand. While trying her best to come up with a plan she paused when she was the pair, she licked her lips and let out a devious smile, "That'll have to work, it's all I got." She mumbled out and quickly started to run away, now a few minutes ahead of Chloe and Kurt.

Back at the camp, Zack was wandering around looking in the general area; he was growing a bit concerned as Chloe was already gone for too long for his comfort. "Hey, Gavin, Vicky," Zack asked as he approached the pair eating by the fire,

"Morning Zack," Victoria said with a little wave,

"You two seen Chloe around?" Zack asked, a hint of worry in his voice,

"Um, no?" Gavin replied while looking around quickly, "When did you last see her?"

"Like fifteen, twenty minutes ago," Zack replied while he tucked his hands into his pockets, "She said she'd be right back and then poof, gone."

"I'm sure she'll be right back," Victoria assured him causing Zack to wander away from them, still looking at the tree line, "That's actually pretty sweet," Victoria whispered to Gavin, while she stared at Zack,

"What?" Gavin asked back in confusion,

"He's so worried about Chloe because he hasn't seen her in a few minutes," Victoria explained with a small smile, "It's cute."

"Vicky, did you just call my friend cute?" Gavin asked with a smirk and a raised brow,

Victoria giggled back, "He's cute, but you're adorable." She said while planting a quick kiss on Gavin's lips.

Another minute past before Zack sighed and sat down on a log, he stared at the fire, trying to distract his mind from Chloe. He couldn't shake the feeling that something just wasn't right. Suddenly he heard the crackle of leaves and turned quickly only to see Ashley walking out, he lowered his head again and shut his eyes, taking a slow breath, "Just relax," He whispered to himself as Ashley approached him,

"Zack?" Ashley softly said, snapping Zack's attention to her, "I need..." She let out a slow sigh, "I need to talk to you,"

"About what?" Zack curiously asked, his heart rate picking up,

Ashley carefully took a seat next to him, "It's about Chloe,"

"What?" Zack immediately asked, his eyes bugging out, "Is she okay?"

"Well, yes, but...I'm not sure you're going to be." Ashley tenderly replied causing Zack to look extremely confused, and even a touch of scared, "It's something I saw while I was out getting firewood."

"What'd you see?" Zack asked staring at her intently,

Ashley internally grinned before taking in an extremely pained breath, "I...I don't know if I should tell you this...no fuck it, you deserve to know." Ashley said, pretending to be conflicted, "Zack, I saw Chloe and Kurt having sex."

"What?" Zack asked his jaw-dropping as a wave of emotion hit him like a truck, "N-no, you're-you're lying."

"Zack, sweetie, I know you don't want to believe it. Hell, I barely can, but I saw them, Chloe and Kurt must have snuck away to do it, she probably was just going to come back and act like nothing happened." Ashley said while lightly putting a hand on his shoulder,

"No, she wouldn't do that," Zack denied while he lowered his head, shaking it slowly,

"Zack, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Ashley tenderly murmured back,

Zack was silent; he couldn't believe Ashley's words, was she telling the truth? She had no reason to lie to him, in his mind, and Chloe's leaving did seem suspicious now that he thought about it. Another few minutes passed as Zack continued to deny everything in his head, he only snapped out of his thoughts when he heard leaves crunching again. Zack immediately looked up and saw Chloe, a sense of relief came over him when he only saw her body, "Okay...okay..." He breathed out as Ashley's hand continued to rest on his shoulder.

Zack weakly got to his feet, the pit in his stomach starting to fade away, he took two steps before he saw Kurt's face as well, only a few paces behind Chloe. His face turned to stone, the air in his lugs bled from his nose, and his legs barely were able to keep him standing as he noticed Kurt adjusted his crotch. "Zack?" Chloe asked as she approached him, "What's wrong?"

"Don't," Zack whispered out,

"What?" Chloe asked, unable to hear his words,

"Don't," He coldly said again, causing Chloe to looking at him in concern, "Just-just don't,"

"Zack, what's wrong? What happened?" Chloe quickly asked, trying to put her hands on his shoulders,

Zack abruptly shook Chloe's hands off him before backing away, "What's wrong?!" Zack asked, his eyes turning furious causing Chloe to take a fearful step back, "YOU CHEATED ON ME!" Zack screamed out at the top of his lungs,

"W-what, n-no..." Chloe whimpered back,

"Don't lie, Ashley saw you and Kurt! She saw the whole fucking thing!" Zack boomed back,

"Zack, p-please," Chloe said, her eyes welling up, "Just let me explain," She begged while stepping forward, trying to take his hand in hers,

"Don't fucking touch me!" Zack snapped back, pushing past her roughly, "Just- I can't fucking look at you right now Chloe!" Zack screamed out while he stormed out of the camp. Chloe felt the drop of a few tears, and she glanced over to Ashley, who almost look sympathetic. Ashley then merely shrugged her shoulders, nearly as an I told you so, and quickly took off, going after Zack, leaving Chloe standing in the center of the camp while all the others stared at her.
